Morning all, hope you feel better soon @ruby_eskimo. I’m out most of today at meetings, first time in months! Not sure how lunch will go as I thought I’d be home and could have soup but that changed an hour ago so will play it by ear and try and make the best choices I can.
I’ve had toast and banana for breakfast and dinner is likely to be baked potato with tuna , salad and pickles using up what’s left in fridge and DS will be out so don’t have to make anything more substantial.I’m taking the plunge and going back to class tomorrow. I need the accountability (and dread!) of standing on the scales in front of someone. Weighing at my mother’s is not ideal and I can do without her comments if I’m honest - even if she thinks they are well intended!Have a good day all.0 -

Morning all, well done Mrs R, at least you can tell your mum that the scales say yes!
Missed weighing last night, having a mare at work as a client has decided, with no notice whatsoever that we are only going to be paid for 50% of our invoice values until the end of the contract, so had to deal with that. It wouldn't be too bad if it was a few thousand, but it is £100's thousand. Can't imagine what our regular suppliers, the guys working on site & HMRC would say if we said that to them. They think that they can bully us into completing the job in their time scale, irony is, if we had been allowed to order our usual high spec materials & bespoke joinery, it would be done, but they have insisted that the fittings, sanitaryware etc come from the continent, but forgot that alot of manufacturing there closes for August, so pushed the lead time back. Client wanted to move in next week and were slightly gobsmacked when we said that was not going to happen because the bathrooms they wanted are not going to be delivered to UK until middle of November! That is not our fault and we should not have to bear the cost. And breath! But did go off the rails last night as I was so annoyed.
Today is the start of another week, so onwards & upwards, or should that be downwards?A smile costs little but creates much0 -
That's awful @Gettingtherequickly - no-one should do that to you. They've caused the problem so they should be paying for their insistence on continental goods! I hope you aren't out of pocket over this. Not surprised you went off the rails last night. Draw the line and get back on it with your new week.
The MRI has been done but my poor ears got a real battering with the noise as they forgot to turn the radio on which is supposed to drown out the noises! Glad it's over though as it was quite uncomfortable to be stuck in one position for nearly half an hour and strapped onto the table so I didn't fall off because I had to lay on my back right over on one side of it! Next stage is seeing the orthopaedic surgeon again a week on Monday to see whether he can sort it with injections or whether I'm going to need an op! I do hope it's injections and not an op (£170 as opposed to £6,000)! Good job DH still has a decent pension pot left otherwise I could be waiting a very long time.
Sorry to hear you are falling a lot @beanielou. Hope you haven't hurt yourself.

today hasn't really gone to plan.
i had my alpen bar for breakfast but then only realised at 3pm when dropping daughter off that i had fed both children and not myself - doh! I'm guessing due to the stress/distraction of dropping her off and not hearing from her at all now until next fridayI picked up a pot of apple slices and berries so will nibble on that whilst I try to distract myself this afternoon

@lushlifesaver - that's not nice at all not having any contact at all. Try and find something to distract yourself - other than food. Do you have a hobby you could do with your DD not there? That assumes of course that your DS is asleep!
Thanks @bubbs. I'm crossing everything not just my fingers, LOL!

Oh dear, lots of problems for people to face at the moment. ☹️ It's really not easy when many find eating an emotional thing. Don't be too hard on yourselves. If you can stick to plan then you know you'll feel good so just try.
I'm trying for an alcohol free Friday. It won't be easy as I look forward to my weekend wine but I want to be 100% sure I stay within syns this week before WI and this gives me wriggle room.
My DGD1 went to the Company Shop today @bubbs and got 36 large (1.5l?)bottles of Evian for £6! It's her mum's favourite tipple. She's not her mother's daughter. 🤣
We've had a good day out at some local gardens although the autumn colour it was planned for is very late this year. Plenty of walking though to get the Body Magic in.
Today's EE plan -
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), HEB toast, scrambled eggs (P), HEA milk
L- (at 4pm!!) sardines (P), tomatoes, beetroot, cornichons (S)
D- BGTY sausages, SW chips, baked beans (F), onions, carrot chips, mushrooms (S)
Syns - sausages 20 -
