Glad you've got plenty of occupy yourself this week @lushlifesaver. Enjoy your special fried rice. As @bubbs says you can have a Chinese within your syns.
KFC looks good as usual @bubbs.
Dinner was disaster tonight! The chicken didn't cook properly so couldn't eat it, the sauce wasn't particularly good. The only thing cooked properly was the rice. Also decided to make a rice pudding using 2nd HEA but for some reason the rice didn't cook and was still rock hard and uncooked after nearly 2 hours, just hadn't absorbed the milk so was like a dish of hot milk!
Will have some fruit shortly to make up for not having my rice pudding!

Was your meal oven cooked (or rather uncooked) @joedenise? I'm wondering whether there's something wrong with the oven temperature? Sounds like a disaster. ☹️
Alcohol free Friday is going fine. I think it's the thought that's worse than the reality.
We're having KFC tomorrow. I've taken the chicken out to defrost. I hope mine cooks OK.1 -
Maman i used them boneless drum sticks i got from the company shop today, they were ok, nice and juicy

Do you usually go to get the Chinese yourself then @bubbs? Is delivery from the same restaurant? I don't think I'd worry about the charge but I'd want to know the food was just as good.
Do you have any of the spring rolls yourself? The little vegetable ones are only a couple of syns each. 😋1 -

I used my halogen oven for the rice pudding. Fortunately I've got an oven thermometer and after the uncooked rice disaster used it to check the temperature and it seems it gets up to temperature and then immediately cools down (when the light goes out) by about 50 degrees before coming back on again. So probably about 70% of the time it's not actually at temperature. I'm trying to cut back use of the oven with the huge increases in gas and elec prices. I've got a Remoska which I can use for most things but very limited with what I can cook in it as it's not thermostatically controlled and cooks around 180-190 which is is a bit high for something like rice pudding!
Enjoy your Chinese @bubbs.
Back later with menu plan as DH is just dishing up today's fry up!
