That's awful @bubbs.  That's a hell of a long wait especially as she wants to go back to work because she obviously won't get paid and doubt benefits will cover much.

This is what she said , i have a mortgage to pay, she is on her own too., she did get full pay for 6 mths and is on 1/2 pay for 6 months .

She did not have a good time had a heart attack, contracted covid in hospital, she is only same age as me :(

The NHS waiting lists are causing huge problems and when you hear of individual stories , like your friend @bubbs, it really makes it real. It's so frustrating and putting people in impossible situations. Your wait is bad enough @joedenise. Hopefully you'll be able to get hold of the scan results which will help a bit.

I like the sound of the waffles but I'd have to try just flat ones as no waffle maker here. ☹️

Morning all, decided to get the motorhome bedding washed today before we get rain, which is forecast from Sunday onwards.  It's not particularly bright at the moment but hopefully it'll brighten up later!

    Today's plan:

    B - boiled eggs; 1 slice bread; butter - P; 0.5 HEB; 2
    L - prawns, smoked salmon, salad, 2 crisp breads, Primula Light  - 0.5 HEB; HEA2; P; S;
    D - cauliflower cheese & chips - S; F; 3.5

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - Primula Light (part)
    HEB - 1 slice bread/2 crisp breads
    Syns - 5g butter 2; cheese sauce mix 3.5

    Have a good day everyone.

  • Gosh Denise & Bubbs, that is painful, pardon the pun. Hopefully things will happen quicker.

Went to see Bond last night, really enjoyed it, but had to think about my eating plan for the day :) So had fruit & yoghurt for breakfast, crustless quiche with rocket & tomatoes for lunch and the piece de resistance,  overnight oats for dinner! I know it sounds mad having it then, but the screening was at 6, which meant that it would be about 9:30 when I got home so difficult timing. Thought if I went for the oats, I could eat before I left office (cinema only 10 mins walk), and it would keep me full. Hadn't expected to be so busy, so literally had to bolt the food down and practically run to the cinema. It worked though, as I was not tempted in any shape for syns. Escalator was out when I got there, needless to say, the screen was on the top floor, so had to take the stairs, I was offered the lift by a staff member, but I don't really like them and will only use them if I have to, eg The Shard! So got in a bit of body magic also.

Hopefully the scales will be kind to me tonight :)

You did really well to plan your meals yesterday @Gettingtherequickly. Well done! 😊 I remember when I was single and they did fabulous lunches at work, I often had things like a bowl of porridge for dinner. It was a great.

@joedenise, enjoy your blue cauliflower cheese. 😁

DD2 has planned a meal out tomorrow as we've not seen them for a couple of months. It could be worse as at least syns are available. I've been feeling fat for the past few days but I'm hoping it's just bloating. GP has referred me for tests but that was a year ago. ☹️

    Today's EE plan -
B- NAS grapefruit squash, baked beans (F), bacon, fried egg (P), HEB toast, HEA1 milk
    L- LO ham hash (P, S, F), fried egg (P), beetroot (S)
    D- SW Bolognese (P, S), pasta (F), HEA 2 Parmesan
    Syns - 0

I saw my friend today with long covid, she said she was on the phone for 50 mins, but they did say would be between hr-hr and half , but that was not the long covid doctor, yes she has long covid and will now go on the waiting list for long covid doctor 🙄 was feb 22nd she tested positive!!

She also has a meeting at work with her manager and HR, she seems to think they will retire her, she is 52, but she said she will get a lump sum and pension so would then get a little part time job .

That's better than nothing for your friend @bubbs. If they give her 3 years enhancement so she can retire but what a waste of her NHS experience when the country is crying out (almost literally ☹️) for mental health support. It would be great if she could get something part time in that field. 🤔

I'll look out for a waffle tray but also experiment with flat ones. 😊

I did my freezer inventory again today just to be certain what I have in there. I've done my meal plan and shopping list for tomorrow and just need something for Sunday lunch, otherwise all freezer meals again next week. I could manage but I love my Sunday roast so don't want to be having sausages. 🤣
