    Morning all 😁

Denise, glad you are feeling a bit better. My head only hurts when i touch it 🙄

We have the same problem with the field hedgerows but its blackberries and they make such a mess, can't pick them without a ladder and getting scratched to death!! DH keep cutting it down but of course every year we have the same problem!

I am having roast pork today for a change.

Also been thinking abut this lack of weight loss 🤔 i wonder if fruit could be a factor, i know it's speed but i do eat an awful lot and if i wasn't to eat it don't know what i would have instead?

Perhaps you could substitute things like carrot sticks, celery sticks, cherry tomatoes etc for the fruit.  I eat fruit every day but nowhere near as much as you!  For example I couldn't eat a whole melon in one go - that would last at least 4 days if it was just me eating it or perhaps 2-3 days with DH having some.  Having said that most of the fruit I regularly eat are only Free foods not Speed like grapes and bananas.

Don't suppose veggies would be a particularly good choice for breakfast though!  Not sure I'd be able to eat them first thing in the morning.

Just spent nearly 2 hours out in the garden clearing up the leaves and cutting back next doors overgrown trees!  DH is now having a go at clearing the grass which is growing over the edge of the path, suspect that's going to take him another hour!  Not something I can help him with really as I'll just get in the way!

Enjoy your roast pork.  Probably my favourite Sunday dinner and usually quite a lot of LOs for another meal or 2!

Sorry to hear you've not been well @joedenise but sounds like you're on the mend. 😊

Ouch! to the bump on the head @bubbs. 🤣

Keep on reading and posting @beanielou, if only to laugh at @bubbs. You'll get your mojo back eventually.

I don't think consultants take in food diaries as a matter of course @milann but you can can ask them to if you need help. 🤔

I've portioned up the Delia's red cabbage so OK for a few weeks now. It was a decent sized cabbage so enough for 9x2 portions.

You could have a point about the fruit @bubbs, after all sugar is sugar however you have it. I have most of my Speed as vegetables. I just have some berries and banana on porridge and that's about it. Probably helps that I don't have a sweet tooth so almost never eat puddings.

    Today's EE plan -
B- NAS grapefruit squash, baked beans (F), fried eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- not sure yet as I'll be out over lunchtime
D- roast beef (P), SW roast potatoes (F), many vegetables (S)
    Syns - gravy 4, weekend wine 😋

Could you try grapefruit @bubbs?  That probably doesn't contain as much sugar as berries.

  • Oh no Bubbs, must admit I don’t put the light on, but there is enough street light to go safely😀 Had a good trip to Sainsbury’s this morning, they were open at 10 so it was empty, bliss to run around and get everything without avoiding trollies etc.

Had my heart set on making some falafel, but forgot to get a sweet potato, trying to work out whether to go out and get one, or whether to try an ordinary one. Not going to make until later as it can go in the oven with the roast.

Currently looking at the ironing and trying to decide which to do first, homework or the ironing, both need to be done.
A smile costs little but creates much :)

GTQ - I only ever make plain falafel and just vary what beans I use.  Each white bean makes a different falafel!  Our favourite is butterbeans as they seem to come up a bit softer and not quite as dry.  I know you can make hummus using red pepper so perhaps you could try that instead of a sweet potato?

Me neither but it was the only fruit which isn't sweet that I can think of!

I can't do a link on my phone but try Google for sugar content of fruit @bubbs. Strawberries are surprisingly low and your favourite figs!
