Morning all, the final dry day for a couple days in this area so taking the opportunity and have done a machine load of washing which is on the line and currently have the bedding in the machine which will out shortly.

We're going out for a little drive later so not sure whether or not we'll be home in time for lunch so if not today's planned lunch will do for tomorrow (I don't need to get tomorrow's lunch out of the freezer until this evening!) so

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up with bacon - P; S; F
L - either eat out or if home in time - LO mini meat loaf, salad, new potatoes - P; S; F
    D - HM keema curry (from freezer), rice, mini naan bread - P; S; F; 9

    HEA - milk
    HEB - none planned
    Syns - naan bread 9

Good luck @bubbs for WI this morning.

    Have a good day everyone.

  • Sorry about that Bubbs

I lost a lb but was disappointed as thought I’d done better.
Is your consultant talking about calories ,it was never mentioned before ,but now anytime someone talks about increasing speed ,she asks them to remember to cut something else down so they’re not eating more calories ,

@Suffolksue I noticed there was something about calories on the SW website recently; like you say calories never used to be mentioned at all!

So sorry to hear you had a gain @bubbs; has your consultant got any more ideas after you doing the SAS logs?

We ended up coming home for lunch, although it was later than usual and we've only just finished but at least I didn't end up using syns which I didn't really want to; I used more than I wanted yesterday as DH decided to open a bottle of wine last night even though we'd already had a cider earlier on so definitely well over syns yesterday.  Not going to be much better today with having naan tonight! but it will just be a bit of damage limitation throughout the week - pretty much back to normal!

Well done @Suffolksue. We'd all like more but it's a pound gone! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

You're right about calories coming into it . Perhaps @klew has the right idea to count calories and do some SW recipes alongside. I suppose you'd get used to how many calories in things like we get used to syns.

That is a shame @bubbs but maybe as you felt a bit thinner you'll see results next week. 🤔

I'm out dancing again tonight. It's a shared supper and everything I've seen that people ae bringing suggests that the only syns will be in salad dressings/mayonnaise. As I'm driving it should be a very low syn meal. 😊

So far today I've had a 'fry up' for breakfast and a JP with cottage cheese and pickles for lunch.

Denise i have not done a SAS log for 3 weeks, but started one today.

Also i was doing more exercise than i normally do moving heavy boxes for 3 days solid , if i have my sisters dogs and walk them i always gain 🤔

    Hiya all :)
Back off holiday. I will confess- I have been naughty on more than one occasion.

Tuesday we went for our Indian meal, Wednesday we went out for a French meal. I had baked goats cheese salad to start, with salmon nicoise and salad for main. However I didn’t realise both the salmon nicoise and salad were going to arrive drowned in dressing!

Thursday we went to Clarks outlet village. We went to Pret and I was full of intention to have a salad but I ended up having a sarnie and a chocolate bar as I felt a bit shaky and thought my blood sugar was probably a bit low.
Friday coming home we stopped at services and I had some jerk chicken patties and roasted veg couscous.

I weighed this morning, dreading what it would say- but incredibly I weighed the same as what I did when I left home Monday! I’ve tried to make decent choices- my breakfasts were all good, either fruit and yoghurt or HEXB bacon butties or overnight oats- Lunches, apart from Wednesday, were rubbish and evening meals on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday were all good. I did a fair bit of walking as well. (Yes we were self catering)

So it’s back home to reality :D I’m away again Thursday but I would really like to get my 1.5 stone award on Wednesday. I’m about 3lbs away and I know it’s not impossible! Been to the rugby today. The smells of the pies and chips about drove me round the bend but I took my own food. Not usually allowed but due to me being diabetic they said it was okay.

    Today’s food-
B: HEXB porridge with HEXA milk and blueberries
L: Small amount of brown pasta, ham and salad. 2 Syns for dressing. Mixed berries. 2 x bottles water
T: Keema curry, rice (3) salad. 25g dark choc (7.5)
    S: Crisps if I’m hungry (6.5)
    Syns: 19

With the calories thing, that’s the whole reason I am doing SW. I am very dyscalculic so I can’t count calories. I would refuse and just carry on the way im going.

    Night all xx

Morning all, weather not looking too bad although quite heavy and possibly thundery rain is forecast for this afternoon!

@Mrs_Ryan I think most of us doing SW feel the same way about calorie counting and if they do introduce that I will just leave and carry on doing SW the way I am now - I'm sure we can can this SW thread going in the same way as now.  I certainly didn't want to count calories which was why I joined SW so that I didn't need to!

With regard to the dressing on your salads in the French restaurant I'm afraid that is standard as you'd find in France!  Unfortunately my French isn't good enough when I'm in France to ask for the dressing separate but certainly do in any restaurant in the UK!

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up with bacon - P; S; F
    L - burger, onions in WM roll - HEB; S; 0.5
D - roast chicken, roast potatoes, roasted peppers, onions & carrots, cauliflower, green beans & peas

    HEA - milk
    HEB - wholemeal roll
    burger - 0.5; couple of G&Ts 6

    Have a good day everyone.
