Don't know what happened yesterday .... Oh yes
Dgd came and after lunch we went and got the rubbish bags and a few more bits from the lottie and took them to the tip, then picked up her two little sisters from school and whisked them off the a certain big red M place for tea!!!! It's something I do occasionally and they (and me) never plan, so I hope they enjoyed the surprise!!! Back home and an early night as grandma sitting at other dds today.
Had a good day playing and sitting outside etc whilst dd worked from home this am and after lunch she went off for a spa afternoon with work colleagues, courtesy of their owner/boss - another nice surprise!
So back home, no money spent by me and after a plate of salad for lunch and scrambled eggs and baked beans on toast for tea, I feel very stuffedand ready for bed, but not going just yet!!!!

and told their mum when I took them home!!! And it's somewhere dd would never take them so doubly naughty Nanny he he, love it!!!!!!!!

I've been absent the last couple of days, mostly getting the lottie ready for planting and sorting the new polytunnel cover out, which should be done tomorrow.
I've also dropped off the wagon a bit and had to shuffle money about to make everything balance, really cross with myself and whilst I was spending I knew what I was doingso splurge over and done with and pots need refilling now. That will take a lot longer than the spending which was done!!
So back to the drawing board for a couple of pay days to recoup the money. Food wise I have plenty in and I can go to the hub for free veg, fruit and bread if needed, but as I have quite a bit in the freezer its a good excuse to have a clear out in there. I filled the car up just after pay day so I should also be ok, but I do need some more compost and a couple of more bits for the lottie so will have to do the shuffle a bit more.
Anyway that's my confession and the few hours of gratification has gone for the stark realisation of how hard it's going to be to recoup it!!! Oh well, here we go again, by the way it's not thousands of pounds or even hundreds so don't worry, I'm just cross with myself for being so 'swayed' and undoing some of my scrimping and saving so quickly!!
So I'm off to the lottie again after lunch, one drop of rain and the weeds are coming back with vengeance and to put up some netting ready for my cabbages, broccoli, kale etc. It looks if it might be a good strawberry year as well - yay
See you soon, keep well and enjoy this warm spell.

It’s all about balance though nanny….there’s no point being here and being so parsimonious that we don’t enjoy the journey. Yes we want money in the bank and a safety net, but also need to balance that with a life worth living and nice things to make it all fun along the way. You have spent, but mindfully and on things you want which will make you happy…it’s all good and nothing to beat yourself up over. Enjoy your new things and once you’ve filled the pots you can have another treat 😁Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

WinterWarrior - wise words!!
Well I had an enjoyable afternoon at the allotment finally cleared all around the tunnel infrastructure so hopefully sil and I can get the cover on tomorrow and all made secure. I'm going to change the layout inside a bit and have the doorway at the other end to where it is at the moment as I think it will be easier! Not sure if it will be, but I'll soon find outdid a bit more digging and weeding - little and often will hopefully win the day.
Got back home at tea time, so had a wash got changed and had tea sat outside in the sun, it always tastes better in the sun under the parasol! Oh and a cheeky glass of wine was had as well, just need the sound of the waves in the background, but unfortunately it's a couple of hours away if you go quickly and I'm way past doing anything quick these days
Can't remember if I said but I started walking to the local town the other day and I was about half way there and the 'not my cat' was following me!!!! I walked back home with him, shoved him in my house and had to take the car otherwise I would have been late!!!! I couldn't carry on to town as it was too far and he couldn't come in to my appointment with me anyway, silly !!!!!!. He was just trotting behind me like a faithful little dog!!!!
That's it for now, I'm hoping for nice weather again tomorrow, it definitely makes me feel more happy and relaxed.

Got to love that cat... bless him.
I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy1 -
We used to have a cat like that, we’d have to stop at a certain point where the roads got busier and one of us would wait with him while the other went to the shop. That was a long time ago!Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
