You are nearly at half way for the canopy so well done.  I took look after young grandchildren and I love it but it is exhausting, but before you know it they are all grown up!

gran3 - the gcs certainly grow up quick, the eldest is coming up 18 now and I was her mum's birthing partner and it doesn't seem that long ago!! The youngest isn't 2 yet and keeps me on my toes on a Tuesday, whilst my youngest dd is at work but I wouldn't have it any other way, and there's another 4 between those 2, love them all :)

gran3 -  the canopy savings total is only an estimate by me, when I get nearer that amount I will have to get some quotes, but I will keep chipping away at it as much as I can. If it falls down or something I do have some emergency funds, but I don't really want to use them as I have a feeling I wouldn't replace them all. I try to put £200 away each month but I find it hard and its only going to get more difficult, but it is what it is.

I've eaten some of my chocolate tonight, it was LOVELY :)

Grandma duties done and pup taken back, it was really nice weather today and this afternoon dgs, pup and me were outside until school collection time. Dgs was busy moving stones about and the pup intent on digging holes, me i was collecting stones up and filling holes in lol

So had a good day. When I got home the dreaded council tax letter was on my door mat and I couldn't bear opening it until after I'd eaten. So what's the damage, well not as bad as it could have been, the increase was just under 2% so for me an increase of about £3 a month. I do get the 25% discount as I live on my own and will be getting the rebate as well, so I'm very pleased :) I wish all the increases would  be like that.

Tomorrow will be a cleaning day after pup has been here, all my throws, cushion covers need washing and the downstairs wood floors need a good clean, so I'm hoping that will be all done before 10.30 so I'll have to get up at a decent time. I would like to go to the food hub for veggies and bread as I'm running low, and it opens at 11am, I seem to have lots of fruit though!!

Yesterday I was watching some sewing you tube channels and would like to get back to making clothes, I'm not very good at all making clothes for me as they never fit properly, I measure myself and go by measurements etc but they still don't seem to fit I must be a funny shape, or if they are half decent the colour, pattern or style is terrible on me!!! But I will give it another go, I enjoy embroidery, quilting etc but I can't wear those.

Anyway I'm going to write a meal plan of sorts out and see if there's anything I'm running out of, as I can buy it tomorrow whilst I'm out at the hub.

Percy Pig, Colin the Caterpillar, Leo Lion and Henry Hippo depending on the shop I've gone to :D
Glad the council tax bill wasn't as bad as you'd thought it might be. We are fortunate to be OK money wise at the moment but so very many people aren't including some RL friends. I just wish I could fix it all for everyone you know?
Today was lovely weather here too and I saw my first butterfly of the year. It flew past really quickly but I think it was a Red Admiral  :) Collected some library books and did some small shopping. And brought the bins in!
Enjoy the rest of the evening and have a good day tomorrow. Hope the food hub has some goodies for you.
    Night all.

First laundry wash of throws from front room washed, it's a good job they dry quick, it started raining as soon as the washer had finished so they've been hung over anything and everything tall enough all day!! I want to start on curtains next but it'll have to be a sunny day for them.

Walked down to the hub and got some bread, veggies and eggs I needed, the post office for a couple of stamps and then into hbs for some mayo, pesto and hand soap for kitchen and bathroom, so signature updated.I also managed to acquire some gf bread for sil, who is coeliac from the hub - so that's in the freezer until I go up there next week.

Not a lot else done. One minute I was eating lunchtime sandwiches listening to the news and the next moment it was three o'clock :D
