  • WinterWarrior - I ate them whilst the soup warmed up!!!!! They were very tasty, naughty but nice!!!!!!!

SuperMoose - they were so goooooood!!!!

Well the shopping trolley was only a matter of clipping the wheels on, I thought it was going to be more difficult but there you are.
Had another pie for tea with loads of green vegs and then tonight I've had some fresh fruit and yogurt with a sprinkling of hm granola which was supposed to be pudding but I was too full.
Right off to bed in a few mins if I don't fall down the forum rabbit hole.

  • Hello, NannyGladys. No, you are not talking to the wall. I have been following your diary and enjoy it very much. Your trolley will save much from the helpful food hubs. About magazines, good for you not buying one, it does your local library have any? I used to spend lots of time reading them and the newspapers. We could borrow back issues as well..Worth asking. .

retiredinfrance - Im due at the library this week so I will ask about mags and papers, I'm also going to ask about ebooks as well, it's only a small library but I was shocked at the 50p charge for reserving one book, so I don't know if they charge for any of those.

Today I've been cleaning, 2x laundry, sorting and knitting and got quite a bit done. I should have been in the garden but wore myself out so sat down to knit instead.

  • Thank you for reading retiredinfranceI, I think my diary is more about managing on a low amount of money and how I do it, my mortgage is paid, car is owned and I don't have credit card debt so it's not about paying debt or my mortgage off, doesn't make it any easier though, I'm on a state pension so don't have at to play with but it can be done!!!!   :)

  • Glad the cheese straws were good!
I did some washing and got it dry outside. And also did a small amount in the garden that I really wanted to get done. Then I was worn out and went to bed for a couple of hours :#
Good to hear you got a trolley - they are very useful. I'd never manage to carry all the stuff I cram in mine.
Enjoy the rest of your evening. Do you have plans for next week?
    Night all :)

Most libraries seem to use BorrowBox for audible books.  It’s very good and free.  They also have magazines online for free.   I use it loads.
  • Another vote for Borrowbox, as well as ebooks I download audiobooks to listen to when I'm sewing. Our library charges £1 to reserve a book so it has to be something I really want to read! Cheaper than buying a book though and I suppose it helps support the library, it would be terrible to lose it.

SuperMoose - about the only plan I have is looking after dgs on Thursday instead of Tuesday, and if the weather ever stops raining going down the lottie to bring back some trays for a seed sewing session.
I should have gone down yesterday but did house work etc instead.

cbsexec - I've just got a few pages if my book to finish and then I'll be at the library and I'll be asking about borrowbox, as its only a small library it could be very useful.

Nonnadiluca - our library may be small but it's well used by other organisations that I assume have to pay for hire and there's always children and adults using it, we are very lucky here, I think. There a threat of closure a few years ago but it made people realise it  be a big loss to our small town, I think.
You've reminded me that I have an audio book app that I don't use and never thought of using it whilst sewing, doing housework etc what a good idea :)
