A bit late today.
Breakfast: mushrooms on marmitey toast with a sprinkling of cheese.
Lunch: celery soup that I made yesterday.
Tea: the last of the lentil shepherd's pie (yay!!) With kale.
Tomorrow dgd is coming for a short visit and I'm going to make a sort of lasagne!!! Still have kale to eat so will be using that as well as some brown lentils.
Managed a little knitting and made a mug rug using 'Lady Laura', took me longer than using my electronic sewing machine but I enjoyed her 'go forward' by hand speed!!!

Just a quick one from me.
Grandma duties at dds house so not much else done. Took a sandwich and fruit with me and had the rest of the celery soup when I got in.
Had loads of puppy cuddles whilst I was there and he's growing quickly, but still a softy!
Tomorrow is another day and another no spend month but with a clothing allowance of sorts I think.

Another quick one from me as I haven't been out or spoken to anyone today.
Found some different wool with a pattern in one of my project bags that hasn't been started, so will probably cast on tonight. I also found a couple of embroidery pieces waiting to be done as well in another one so I will start one of them at some time. Both projects must have been in the project bags about 5 years!!! Naughty Nanny!!!!
Breakfast was porridge with raspberries
Lunch was tomato soup and toast
Tea was 2 sausages, mashed potato and cabbage
Not very exciting but it's what I have in.
Feeling really tired tonight so going to have an early night I think.

Hi nannyg just delurking to say your meals always sound delicious 😋 The tiredness could be due to the lack of puddings and chocolate 😆 Seriously though I did watch a program about sugar addiction and sugar withdrawal symptoms. Just the thought of no chocolate brought me out in a cold sweat 😂0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Skint_yet_Again - you be liking my meals today, I'm still feeling 'off', so today had toast and butter at lunchtime and two bubble and squeak cakes made with LO from yesterday!!! So not very exciting but I'm not really that hungry at the moment.
Today dgd came and we went down the hub to see what was on offer, came away with a loaf, avocados (yay, sushi on the cards again), and gf pittas for youngest dd. We then went to the one we went to last week as they have a cafe and I had some toast and coffee £1 spent!! Oh dgd had some cake for a £1 as well but she took her own drink!!!! Whilst we were there I had a look around and there was loads of long dated powdered baby milk, and I know that it can be very expensive, it's a shame I don't know anyone. They have put it on their facebook page though.
I even had a look in our local cs shop but didn't see anything (after summer clothes to alter) but they had got some nice bits and bobs, but I resisted!!!
Got home shattered and had a nana nap!! This is not like me at all, hope I'm back to normal tomorrow.

Toast and butter is a favourite especially if it’s real butter 😋 I don’t have it very often, but I do love real butter on crumpets and baked potatoes, just don’t love the price!Today I had slow cooker curried parsnip soup which was a recipe someone posted on MSE. 2 carrots, 2 parsnips, half red onion and 1 stock cube with water, teaspoon of curry powder. 4 hours on low then blitzed with stick blender my DF gifted to me. Bubble and squeak sounds yum, especially with a fried or poached egg!Hope you feel better. Love the idea of a nana nap. Not sure what my excuse is as I’m not a nana unless you count walking my sons dog every morning. By the time I finish work at 3pm I need a nap 😆0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

I may be watching the pennies all the time but I love butter and buy it nine times out of ten!!! As a youngster I had to go to the shop and the man behind the counter would cut a pound of butter off a huge round of butter and use two paddles to shape it, then wrap it in greaseproof paper. They sold lard like that as well, and cut the cheese with a wire, weighed out tea (no tea bags then), weighed out sugar and wrapped it in blue thick paper made into a container like bag and ground their own coffee for you!!! Oh the good/bad old days
and it wasn't all roses like some programs would make you believe, the same with the 70's anyway ....
My old tv has been feeling very sorry for itself this past week. The poor thing has been switching itself off before it's got going!!! So it was taken me half an hour to actually get it to stay on to see anything! Anyway, I mentioned this to youngest dd and she bought round a redundant tv that had be given her for dgd, who would rather play on her switch!!! So it is now sitting where my old one was and my one has been deposited at the recycling centre!! Win win for me, l haven't had to buy one, and saved it from being taken to the tip.
Breakfast: nothing
Lunch: pasta, green veg and cheese
Tea: bubble & squeak, veggie burger, kale and peas.
Finished all the kale now, so starting on a bag of spinach tomorrow
