Beware Lebara

No need to do any of that. As explained by others , if you want to send images in messaging in some lebara plans you have to top up on the lebara app and then can send images in messaging.
Some , like me , didn't realize this untill we try sending an image in messages. That's all. Now we know how.
All of the options including whatsapp etc are there of course , but having all options available to send images is useful to suit all sorts of situations.0 -
Is there any provider that does not charge extra for photos in messaging?jvjack said:No need to do any of that. As explained by others , if you want to send images in messaging in some lebara plans you have to top up on the lebara app and then can send images in messaging.

I think that only applies to RCS messaging and if you are using that you may as well use WhatsApp or similar.flaneurs_lobster said:

The websites for both are specific in their mentions of unlimited free MMS so don't think this is so. Don't have either SIM to check however.Martin_the_Unjust said:

The default for Android messaging is RCS (and works on iPhones as well [except Vodafone])which costs no extra to send an image as RCS uses your data.jvjack said:No need to do any of that. It also doesn't suffer from the image degradation that MMS does. MMS is an older technology.0 -
You are right, so few MMS are sent nowadays it would cost more to bill them.flaneurs_lobster said:

thanks , have understood more now about mms and rcs.
Checked my android settings and messages chat is set to rcs but lebara don't support it. I would have thought that the images would be sent over wifi or data , but still learning, and there is some mention earlier about conflicts with porting and new ported number not showing in settings. Sure enough , in rcs settings it says connected to lebara but on the temporary number. Probly nothing.
Oh my one image sent cost 45p , not 19p like i said earlier , so am going to have to insist that mum learns to do whatsapp.0
