Randox - AVOID!

You're one of the lucky ones.R3dders said:We have just returned from Spain and used Randox. We got the day 2 & 8 tests through the post which we did at home and dropped off at 'Drop Box' 10 miles away. (in line with Quarantine rules). We received emails to say they had received the tests and then emails to confirm the results within 24 hrs of dropping off. We also bought the test to release and attended in person for them to complete the test. We were given documents and again received our results within about 18 hours. The set up near Manchester airport was brilliant. All in all I can't complain about them and thought it only fair to give another view. I agree though that companies dealing with so many customers usually don't have the admin support required and I was grateful nothing went wrong.
You only have to look at trust pilot to see that hundreds of people have been shafted by Randox. Lost flights, holidays and lots of money due to their incompetence.

Now there are 400 - But at the start when I booked the list was much much smaller. There have been lots more added recently - the ones cheaper than Randox are all new - this list is evolving, however the people who booked on quite a while ago had a much smaller list. At the time Randox was the cheapest option for a home swab now there are lots of other options - my point still Randox being the cheapest for a home swab would have attracted more business than most and they have accepted these orders and money without the ability to fulfil their obligations in turn this has severely affected peoples livelihoods and liberties. I am not sure what your posts are trying to achieve - I am trying to help people avoid randox to save them heartache and loss of money. I can see you have made 11k posts so I suspect pedantry maybe one of yours! enjoy!!sheramber said:Nads123 said:
Not recommended but still on a small list of providers on the government website - this alone means that they must be getting an absolute ton of business - every person I have spoken about this has got their name from that list. Happy to take your money - completely unable to fulfill their obligations.sheramber said:
Picked from a small list of government recommended companiesNads123 said:Totally agree - shocking customer service and not fit for purpose. Picked from a small list of government recommended companies - who must be raking it in, it has to be said. Day 5 test turned up too late and still haven't had the results or any response to emails and can't get them on the phone. People lives and liberties are being affected here - its not like having crap customer service on a faulty dishwasher!
As has been stated before
The government does not endorse, recommend or approve any private test provider. Individuals and employers should conduct their own research about available providers and the testing services they supply. For information about customer service, please check consumer review websites.

I think this is an unfair comment to someone who is trying to give a balanced view to the on going post ,just because they do not agree with you does not prevent them from adding to the forum and the fact that they have taken the time and trouble to reply adds to the general form of this board.Nads123 said:

My husband and I dropped off our Randox Day 2 tests in their box yesterday. The box was overflowing.
I have had both confirmation of receipt and my test result. He has heard nothing.
What are the legal responsibilities of the individual in this situation? Is it ok to sit and wait or should one be organising a (late Day 2 test?0 -
@R3dders - Do you need the email confirming the negative result of the day2 test when you attend the day 5 in person test?R3dders said:We have just returned from Spain and used Randox. Randox say in their terms and conditions that they aim for test results the following day up until midnight. So, you have to wait until then. Plus, you're either not quarantining or you are and either way the rush for a test result is pointless for Day 2.foxlane1 said:My husband and I dropped off our Randox Day 2 tests in their box yesterday. We didn't have to show the results, however we used the same company for day 2&8 and the Test to release.Spendless said:

Finally after a month I've received a refund from Randox for the 5 day TTR kit that they didn't deliver.
More shenanigans with Randox reported by the BBC today. I find the excuses they give for their shoddy service are pathetic.

I know some will have had problems with Randox.
I just thought I would give my positive experience.
Ordered day 2 tests on a Tuesday at 6pm and they arrived on the Thursday morning. We dropped our test in at Wetherby Moto Services on Bank Holiday Monday at 8.45am and our results were emailed at 7am today. The man at the services said that the drop box had been emptied twice daily for the last week, could be in response to them being too full and people being unable to post their envelopes.
I will not hesitate to use them again if I need a test for holidaying

Three of us in our family used Randox. Two of us had Day 2 tests only and the third had Day 2 & 8 and Day 5 tests. All of them were delivered with no problems, completed, sent back and processed very promptly. Didn't experience any issues.
Whilst I appreciate it's frustrating to receive bad service, it's often not representative of the whole company. People often post negative reviews but rarely post positive reviews (on the basis that you expect normal service so why would you post about it).
So it should be taken in context.1
