My friends are currently in Spain, returning next week.I heard from another friend that has just returned to England that the numbers on the Randox boxes are not being accepted on the passenger locator form and that they had to phone Randox in order to obtain the correct numbers!
The numbers on the test kit boxes begin RD2019, another number begins GTIN
According to the friend who phoned Randox, the number should have an RANDX prefix.
Surely it’s not necessary that everyone has to phone Randox for a reference number. Any ideas?

It’s the booking reference that the form asks for not the numbers on the test box - the booking reference will be on your invoice or e-mail when you booked and paid for the tests.1

Thanks Shoestring, I found it odd that the friends who recently returned had to phone… those in Spain should still have the email response from Randox, assuming they can find it.1

I used randox few weeks ago, and using again in 2 weeks...
When you order online, you get the Order Ref:
Then you get another email, with the 'RANDX' ref, which is what you need for the PLF to get back into the UK....
The RD number on the kit box, is for when u do the test kit and complete the form on Day 2...... It has nowt to do with the Gov PLF form.....
(side note: for our location, the dropbox was OK, and got the expected results the following day )

I would advise anybody not to use Randox. I only used as was recommended by Jet2. Paid for 2 tests £86. Payment would not go through. Tried again and payment successful. Ended up having 2 transactions of £86 ( 2 orders). Rang immediately to cancel 1 of the orders but they said they wouldn’t cancel or refund the money. Shocking customer service. A reputable company would have refunded.0

Just used again after second visit to Spain, for day 2 test only. No problem with payment, packs were delivered within 2 days, reference numbers were accepted and all okay at airport. Did test on day one and delivered to dropbox at 10:30 am. Drop box had plenty of room. Received email at 3:40 am on day 2 confirming receipt at Laboratory, followed by email at 1:30pm later that day confirming result (Negative). I understand people have had problems but I must be one of the lucky ones.2

My friends had the email with appropriate details for the passenger locator form, no issues with airports or the airline.
They did the day 2 tests, dropped off their boxes at a Randox drop point and had the results the following morning.

Hi. I've bought the randox lateral flow test for day 2 testing which has arrived. It needs an app to log the test results. For android its not available in the google play store. they tell you to side load it using a link and bypassing your phones security. I have tried - although I'm a bit brassed off they suggest bypassing phone security . However my phone won't let me bypass. Any ideas what to do ? I dont have an apple phone0
