There must be an alternative way, cant you log it on a computer?

If not, tell them you dont have a smartphone, you have completed your end of the bargain by doing the test, and they need to provide you with an alternative way of logging it.

Ah, well in that case then you should have checked before buying.

Either download it onto your phone bypassing the security thing, or get someone you know to do it for you

While it’s no consolation, the latest 3 reviews for the Randox iPhone iOS app rate it as awful on the iPhone App Store.

As an additional note, a friend with an older Android phone, and an old iPad, couldn’t install an overseas travel app (travel to Spain, not a covid test app) on either due to their lack of up to date security patches.

I have just been to Spain and required no app to do so 🤔 what app was this please?

You can go with a paper version, or with the app from the Spanish page link.

Or, with the PDF it creates from the web form so you dont need a paper version or the app.  I didnt even see the option for an app when I did it, thats how much attention I was paying

For info I did cehck before buying and nowhere would I envisage that I would have had to by-pass security settings to side load an app which wouldn't be available in the the google play store. I've never had to sideload an app for any other service.

I'm not sure how that affects your phone warranty if something goes wrong. THey shouldn't expect you to bypass phone security settings. for something that is more or less required by the state. I will take the test seeing as i have it but if they want the results they'll have to come and get the test in person

You are not required by anybody to use Randox.

Other suppliers are available.

I have at least 3 apps on my Android phone that are not in the Google Play store (including the one that operates my home CCTV) and it hasnt become infected with viruses or exploded.

Just bite the bullet and download it. Upload the results. Uninstall it. Your phone isnt going to explode.
