Randox - AVOID!

As title, I would avoid Randox Health for any pre/post travel PCR testing at all costs.
They are totally unreliable and offer zero customer service. They happily take your money up front and say it's non refundable but don't provide the service promised.
I booked a day 2 and 8 testing kit as well as a day 5 'test to release' after working in the E.U. The day 5 TTR didn't arrive after reassurances by them that it would.
I'm now having to go to another company, pay for another TTR and I'm losing 2 days work as well as the £48 fee already paid to Randox.
I'm not alone as several people I know have suffered the same and it looks like hundreds more have too judging by the reviews on Trustpilot. I wish I had read the reviews before ordering with them.
It's impossible to get through to their customer services by phone and they don't respond to emails. A joke company that is unbelievably on the Government's approved list for companies offering testing services.

How frustrating, particularly the day 5 TTR.
There is an argument that going for the cheaper priced tests is fine for day2 and day8, but choose an in person test for TTR to cut down the time it takes for the test to reach the lab. Randox only ever say the result will be with you by the end of the following day, so already at the end of day 6. Clearly they haven’t even managed that in your case.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards. This will happen to ALL private testing companies. They don't have the capacity. Everyone will eventually let someone down.1

Just to point out that this is new in MSE rules:
Active boycotting
We appreciate emotions can run high should you experience poor service from companies, but we cannot accept active calls to boycott organisations as we are unable to verify the service you received.

Totally agree - shocking customer service and not fit for purpose. Picked from a small list of government recommended companies - who must be raking it in, it has to be said. Day 5 test turned up too late and still haven't had the results or any response to emails and can't get them on the phone. People lives and liberties are being affected here - its not like having crap customer service on a faulty dishwasher!

As has been stated before
The government does not endorse, recommend or approve any private test provider. Individuals and employers should conduct their own research about available providers and the testing services they supply. For information about customer service, please check consumer review websites.0 -

We have just returned from Spain and used Randox. We got the day 2 & 8 tests through the post which we did at home and dropped off at 'Drop Box' 10 miles away. (in line with Quarantine rules). We received emails to say they had received the tests and then emails to confirm the results within 24 hrs of dropping off. We also bought the test to release and attended in person for them to complete the test. We were given documents and again received our results within about 18 hours. The set up near Manchester airport was brilliant. All in all I can't complain about them and thought it only fair to give another view. I agree though that companies dealing with so many customers usually don't have the admin support required and I was grateful nothing went wrong.1
