@ditty1234 What do you class as comfort food, maybe we can suggest a few alternatives?
I am not a big soup fan, but I do keep a few tins as a low cal meal alternative, ( I never make soup), H3inz spring veg is low cal.
M@rks Count on us do quite a few low cal ready meals, the chicken in cream mushroom sauce is 300 cal. Is it worth buying a few to put in the freezer for the days when you CBA... I have these quite often, lol.
Don't know if anyone else feels the same, but I hate buying WW food, I'd rather look about for something that has no mention of being diet food?
Yes probably contradicted myself with the M&5 food, but it is better quality (for me anyway) and less processed.MFW - 01.10.21 £63761 01.10.22 £50962 01.10.23 £39979 01.10.24 £27815. 01.01.25. £17538

Yes - the count on us range is quite good - they also do a potato topped fish pie at under 400 calories - but I confess to preferring the waitrose one (M&S put salmon in and I prefer just white fish and prawns). I've also tried the chicken and mushroom pie as well (again potato topped) was enjoyable aside from the fact I'm not a fan of onions - so I had to pick all those outjennystarpepper said:

but plenty of chicken and mushrooms and a pleasant sauce.

Well you have given me a bit of inspiration, I will have a trip to the Waitrose, I will confess I have only shopped there a couple of times, only because I would have to go to the other side of the town where I live, as no other reason to be in that area. I do think that the quality of food at M&S has gone down the pan a bit of late, so a good reason to visit.cymruchris said:

I did laugh about you 'picking the onions out', I've never eaten fish pie because I hate the smell, now give me a few grilled squid or octopus tentacles and I'm happy, but no to the fish pie, (mother was a terrible cook).
I hear Waitrose to a good line in vegan cheesecake,

, I have another reason to visit.

When the weather turns cooler I love home made soup. I cook a large pan of veg soup with lentils which lasts in the fridge for up to 5 days. I don't do a lot of batch cooking because I don't have much freezer space. I do cook enough for two people for two days so we have a variety during the week. Perhaps curry Monday & Wednesday, casserole Tuesday & Thursday etc. These can be taken to work in a microwaveable plastic tub. When I am organised I use my slow cooker which I find super useful. It's lovely to come home to the smell of hot, cooked food.ditty1234 said:Hi I am suffering long days and comfort food lapses, how do you guys pack food for a 12-14 hour day? I have had no time to cook healthy foods, salads are going limp in my fridge - any advice?4 -
STS today. I am happy with that as it is lb below my target rate and well within my target range.4

Good progress if you're holding in your target range - that's what I'll be moving to once I'm down about another 5-7lbs.marycanary said:STS today. I am happy with that as it is lb below my target rate and well within my target range.
I ordered some traditional old sweets online yesterday - being delivered tomorrow - that will go with my fish and chips reward when I reach my target. Things like cola cubes, rhubarb and custards and a range of jelly things - very Woolworths pick and mix.4 -
