Sts this week ,a relief as a foodie week ,
kept trying as much as possible whilst living !
must do better this week !5 -
Good morning everyone
Hi Brambling, can I report a loss of 7lb this week. I finally lost some of the bloat that has been plaguing me since I came home from hospital. I feel encouraged to keep going now and I've made a meal plan and a menu for today. I would like to lose another stone before Christmas which is roughly a pound a week as my lovely niece is getting married on the 22nd December and I want to feel a bit better about seeing all the relatives.
My menu today is:
b - shreddies and a cinnamon bagel
l - parsnip soup
d - toad in the hole, mash and cabbage
s - marmite rice cakes (my new addiction) fruit.
Hope you are all doing well, take care xx8 -

Another week - another step forwards. Last Wednesday I decided to make a healthy fry up for the first time in a while. Skinny sausages, bacon medallions with the fat cut off, one fried egg and a small tin of baked beans. The number of calories involved was just above my usual, but far from crazy. It was very nice. But..... it made me very thirsty - drank lots - and my weight went up the next day rather than the usual STS or down. It took a couple of days for the fluids to balance back out again. Sometimes it's not the calories that make us gain, but the water content we drink as a result of the food we eat.I've also hit the 150's in lbs for the first time in a couple of years - on the home stretch now - I had a delivery yesterday of all the 'old skool' sweets we used to eat when I was young. Cola bottles, white mice, milkshakes, sherbet pips, a whole array of pure sugar. I had a couple of tasters yesterday, and brought back many memories - but they'll be severely rationed and will last for ages, compared to previously where they'd probably be gone in a day or two. (I still have the 4 pack of cherry bakewells in the cupboard from M&S that I decided not to eat when I started my current loss - expired now - but still look good enough to eat)
Nice to see some good progress across the board though - and good to hear your stories - so keep sharing them.My weekly copy and paste bit with the new update added:

But if you lose a pound a week from now til Christmas I think you'll need to change you name from "dumpling" to "noodle"!!

The thread seems very quiet at the moment I hope it's not because you are all eating 😁 🍰🧁🥤🍫. The temperature is beginning to drop here so hopefully my body won't go into hibernation mode where I start stuffing my face 🙄🤐 it's still warm enough to be eating healthy (ish)

2lb gain to declare this week 🙈 To be honest, I've kinda given up! I've had so many events etc over the past couple of weeks that it's just got out of hand and I've indulged in ridiculous amounts of unhealthy food and alcohol. The events continue until next Monday so that's when I'm starting again!! 😊
There is no way that I'll hit any target by the end of this month but it's helped me recognise what I need to do and what I need to change to make a real difference next quarter 😉 Hopefully with 12 weeks between then and solstice, I'll have the opportunity to really change my lifestyle and habits!DNF: £708.92/£1000

Well how did that happen?
Debating whether to jump on the scales, jumped on and expected bad news..... and I've lost, only half but I will grab it and be happy ( quite chuffed really), the toast with butter on eaten in bed has not ruined me.
@Brambling half off please, 9lb total off.
Was expecting to write the rest of the quarter off, health has not been good, trip to see the consultant at the pain clinic came to nothing, had my hopes up that I could be referred on for other services (pre consultation form mentioned them) and I got nothing, was told.....the government makes you think they are investing in XYZ care and their isn't any.
One positive, had my first knee injection a few days ago, very early but good results so far (knee was condemned over 5 years ago, too young for new one), think the consultant was a bit peeved (not with me) but with lack of care, he said your GP surgery could have arranged this a long time ago (could have had treatment there), come to my clinic and I will see you, I could have kissed him.
If you are still reading this... . Does the new quarter start 1st October or the first Monday of October?
