Good morning everyone
I'm popping on to say I have lost 4lb since my last weigh in. I think it must be stress that is causing my weight loss as I am not eating the best. Anyway, today is a new day so it's time to try and do a lot better. My life might be descending into chaos but I can control what goes in my mouth. I am definitely in a mood to do some baking and cooking later so that will keep me out of mischief.
By the way, I really wish I was a noodle but I am definitely still a dumpling.
My meals today are likely to be:
b - weetabix and toast
l - leek and potato soup
d - macaroni cheese with pepperoni
s - scotch egg, fruit
Hope you all have a great day, take care xx3 -
Good morning all
My meals today are:
b - weetabix, whole milk and sweetener
l - pea and ham soup
d - chicken dinner
s - fruit
I am definitely feeling more positive today and that means I can feel more in control of what I am eating. I have a family party tomorrow (hopefully) so will be munching then as I love a good beige buffet. I had a compliment this morning from my sister who said that my face was looking slimmer and I had cheekbones starting to appear. I was very pleased that my weight loss is beginning to show.4 -

A good week for my first STS - I had a couple of lunches out as I mentioned last week that were much heavier on the calories than usual - but having been isolated away from the world for the last year - I thought it was about time. I even had a creme brûlée. So the calories were up, and the weight didn't go down - but this week another achievement was my first 20 mile bike ride (I think it was 21 miles if my maths are right). Just along the local cycle paths - away from the traffic. So the weight crept up with the lunches and then balanced back down again - overall very happy with the progress over the challenge period in managing to drop 31lbs - above my original goal - and 3 stone in total since I began the 'loss'. There's no doubt it's not easy, and I've had more chicken salads than you've had hot dinners - but now I fit back into my clothes! I still have work to do - but definitely much further along the road than I expected to be - so overall very happy.
Here's the creme brûlée:

So I didn't get on the scales today. I have decided I will not be a slave to my scales, I am the boss. Don't know about anyone else but I find getting on the scales quite stressful (mother putting me on a 'diet' as a child when I didn't understand what a diet was and didn't need to be on one).
We have lot's of celebrations in October so the plan has been, get them out of the way by the 1st, so..... one takeaway, (have about 4 a year), then set a new target for the next quarter. So any need for chocolate / cake or naughty stuff has to be out of the way by the 1st.
My target will start on the 5th of Oct (Tuesday weigh day has worked so far, so not messing with it) I then have 9 weeks as we go away for 3 weeks for winter sun, (Osteoarthritis in most of my joints, including lower back and neck), place we go to has a solar pool, lots of very nice German, Scandinavian and British people... wish I had met these folks years ago.... they all strip off (not totally) and are happy in their skin no matter what size. It has made me think, yes I want to shift a few pounds, but I should not need to hide and cover, you can be size 16 + and lay in your cozzie by the pool.
I must admit the weight I have lost with the help of this group as been zero % stress...... so thank you all.
Jeans, tried a pair on I bought a couple of years ago, well the mushroom top is most improved, whoop whoop, will be getting them on for my plane journey with a few more lb off.
Goals for the next qtr. more fruit, (I do eat some every day, but want to increase).
No bread... IBS and I do not take off weight if I eat it.
Attempt to do Pig to Twig a couple of times, it is an Atkins type diet, I put on 3 stone when I stopped smoking, following this plan, I have kept this off and not really followed this plan since but in for a penny.
Good luck for the next Qtr everyone and thank you all for supporting each other.

Hi also not weighing in, just in general saying thanks - for helping keeping me on the straight and narrow. Like above I am saving my weigh in for October - next week.
My exercise has been dubious and a lot of stress eating so back to the carrot snack for me, see you in October.
