I had fish and chips on holiday, trying to avoid the sea gulls on Looe beach 🙂 and remembered that they always taste better by the sea 😋

I've noticed some of the challenge participants have gone a bit quiet lately - I'm hoping that everyone is doing ok - weight loss is a stubborn journey, with many temptations and slip-ups along the way. After last Wednesday's weigh - I got a bit 'blocked up' - although eating plenty of fibre and proteins. My weight crept up over the space of 4 days until I eventually went to Boots and got some 'encouraging medication' to clear the blockage (Putting it politely) which then worked on Sunday evening ready for the weigh on Monday as can be seen by the graph! Approximately 155lb/70kg/11 stone is my ultimate target - and it's within reach now, from the approximate 201lb/92kg/14.5 stone starting point. Around 9lbs left to go - but I know these will be some of the toughest to shift. What's for dinner? Chicken salad.... again.
Prior to week 1 here, my peak was 200.84lb - I'd started my own weight loss journey a couple of weeks before joining this weight loss journey.
Week 1 start weight: 189.93
Week 2 start weight: 185.85 (lost 4.08lb - declared -4lb)
Week 3 start weight: 181.77 (lost 4.08lb - declared -4lb)
Week 4 start weight: 179.68 (lost 2.09lb - declared -2lb)
Week 5 start weight: 176.81 (lost 2.87lb - declared -3lb)
Week 6 start weight: 174.61 (lost 2.2lb - declared -2lb)
Week 7 start weight: 173.39 (lost 1.22lb - declared -1lb)
Week 8 start weight: 168.21 (lost 5.18lb - declared -5lb)
Week 9 start weight: 166.45 (lost 1.76lb - declared -2lb)
Week 10 start weight: 164.35 (lost 2.1lb - declared -2lb)
On these boards from week 1 to week 9 - 25.58lbs lost.
Since beginning my change of lifestyle (3 weeks before) - 36.49bs lost (Which I make over 2.5 stone in old money)
Loss -2lbs

Good morning everyone
I am not going to weigh in for a few days as I have recently come out of hospital and my leg is very swollen with extra fluid. I would find it discouraging to have a potential big gain so I am going to stick my fingers in my ears and go La la la for now.
I have been doing a lot more cooking since I came home and I am really embracing my inner squirrel with lots of comforting soups and casseroles. I've even baked a coffee and walnut sponge but that will not last long in this house so I don't have to worry about it.
Todays meals are going to be:
b - egg sandwich
l - homemade chicken soup
d - creamy tuscan chicken, sweetcorn, green beans and cauliflower rice
s - crisps, apple.
I love this time of year, it has a real air of new starts/ new beginnings, more so than January. I will treat myself to a new notebook and use it to keep a record for myself of my weight and blood sugars. Any excuse for new stationery.

scones with clotted cream and jam was one of my favourites - but making a batch meant I had to eat them all ! 😂

I spent the day walking around St Fagans Welsh museum today - and they had freshly baked scones from their traditional old Welsh oven - so it would have been rude to have not tried one. No cream though, only butter and jam. My first scone since before June. Will now look forward to my gain of 7lbs tomorrow morning 😂4
