Hi everyone? Remember me?
Life has been quite crazy recently. I am looking after a 94 year old gentleman who has just lost his wife. They had been together since they were 16 and been married for 73 years. Their flat is...........interesting. I am trying to clear it a bit. The lady adored Cadbury Fruit and Nut chocolate and the fridge is packed with it. He cannot eat nuts so all this deliciousness is being forced on me.
Well, perhaps 'forced' is a bit of an exaggeration. Let's just say that my protests are fairly feeble as I stash large bars of chocolate into my bag.
That and the complete change in my life and routine has resulted in a gain of 2lbs.
That's +2lbs Brambling.
The gods are with me, it should be a lot more, but I'm not complaining.

considering how much running around you have been doing Monna +2 isn't a bad number. We lost my lovely uncle last year at 96 and my Aunt is suddenly alone the first time in her life after 72 years of marriage (she was 18 when they got married) unfortunately she has gone from taking care of him to needing a carer herself in a few short months, which too be honest we expectedLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin4 -
Well my first WI is depressing - +2 🙈 I am feeling bloated at the moment and have had two alcohol fuelled days which hasn't helped 😔 on the plus side, measurement wise, I've lost an inch on my hips and half an inch off my waist - looks like the yoga is tightening things up even if nothing else!! 😂DNF: £708.92/£1000

Half a pound off please Brambling.
Need to get more fruit inside me, I've not eaten as much of it as I usually do.....but my IBS has not been good and pain meds do not help.

An interesting week this week - I expected there to be more of a struggle as I was eating out for the first time - but when sat in front of a menu where everything was with chips, I chose the only healthy option - grilled chicken salad. When I saw my relatives plates - there must have been at least a 1000 calories on there in chips alone! I was glad I restrained myself 😂I’ve also been a bit more active this week - so just marginally over a 5lb loss, which means I’ve hit my MSE target - but not stopping now - still a way to go.Prior to week 1 here, my peak was 200.84lb - I'd started my own weight loss journey a couple of weeks before joining this weight loss journey.
Week 1 start weight: 189.93
Week 2 start weight: 185.85 (lost 4.08lb - declared -4lb)
Week 3 start weight: 181.77 (lost 4.08lb - declared -4lb)
Week 4 start weight: 179.68 (lost 2.09lb - declared -2lb)
Week 5 start weight: 176.81 (lost 2.87lb - declared -3lb)
Week 6 start weight: 174.61 (lost 2.2lb - declared -2lb)
Week 7 start weight: 173.39 (lost 1.22lb - declared -1lb)
Week 8 start weight: 168.21 (lost 5.18lb - declared -5lb)
On these boards since week 1 to week 7 - 21.72lbs lost.
Since beginning my change of lifestyle (3 weeks before) - 32.63lbs lost.I’m still about 15 lbs heavier than my previous lightest - so will keep up the low calorie/high exercise regime for a while longer - which is challenging this week as I’m fitting a camera system to the local food bank which is full of fresh bread, donuts and greggs steak bakes - the smell is driving me crazy - but I’m holding out!!!I can see a few people are within reach of their targets now - well done on your progress - and the STS brigade - keep it up. It’s a marathon not a sprint.
