Small top up shop today, OH and I went for a walk and a cafe coffee at lunchtime, and I ordered Mum’s birthday present. Today was a very definite spend day.
But I also I cashed out some surveys and I discovered an £11.27 e-voucher for saneberries lying in my TCashback account. Annoyingly, it can only be spent in store.
Grateful for a or a walk in the sun with OH, a nice cappuccino at a cafe, and for finding an unused (soon to be used) voucher.

Thought I'd have a lie in today, the phone rang twice so hubby answered it. The first time it was for him, but the second was for me. For many years I've played along with p0pmaster on radio2, yesterday I emailed to try & get on the radio to take part. My phonecall was about that! I answered 3/5 questions, so qualified to go into the pool of possible contestants. Stayed in all morning in case they phoned to confirm my place, but wasn't to be! My time wasn't wasted though, as I made 4 taggy blankets. Walked to the village after dinner to post a letter & drop some plants off, then spent the rest of the afternoon weeding. Went out again after tea & weeded one of the raised beds then sat knitting & watching TV.
Grateful for payout from T0pcashback, plus redeemed points for a £5 Am4zon gift voucher & ended up with two of em 😃, having enough taggy blankets made to advertise them for sale, nearly getting in p0pmasterUse it up, wear it out

Finally managed to get to town. Have walked approximately 3 blocks with a couple of 1/2 block detours/ wiggles and was really struggling despite lots of sit downs. Did not get to several shops (only the 3 in a line). Did not get to go home to sort the bins or anything else - I had reminded DS3 which bin to put out and he read the meters and I submitted the readings.
Home would have been another 3 blocks, little arseda a further two (the half block detour was because I looked for the nearest place to get bread once anywhere further away was off the table). Did not get the things mum asked for (sealant gun and sealant that will do everything - she'll be lucky) but we needed bread and I should be able to get through another week to ten days now. Should really go home to sort the bins, especially the green garden waste one.
Got in, ate and fell asleep (did put the mask on as I could feel myself drifting). When I woke up I thought it was tomorrow morning - soon sorted it but very disorientating. Think the cough mum passed on to me is affecting me quite a lot, slowing me down and I make weird noises when breathing - thought the phone needing charging but it was my lungs making the funny pop/ beep noise and yesterday I growled.
Stealth declutter is going well, doing freezer tetris on the photo cupboard gave me enough space for 5 framed photos which were taking up space in the good drawers in here and making the drawer too heavy to open easily (and lop-sided).
Grateful for time to recover (had some of the frozen fish for lunch with all the old bits of veg in the fridge), using a 'free gift' rub on the remaining chicken thighs (was fed up of boring sandwiches and resisted buying a more interesting one), my puzzle book (it's one of the summer specials so more of my favourite puzzles and few different ones), it not being tomorrow morning, doing a bit when I couldn't do what I wanted/ much of anything, books from the cs -they were 10p each so gave them a pound for 7 (pound sign is a hashtag now - eek).

Can't believe it's only Thursday, been a long week.
DD1 had a heart procedure on Monday, very scary but the consultant said it was a success so we are very relieved. Very proud of her for going through with it & for going through it on her own as i had to leave her at reception. I did a food shop then cleaned the fridge & washed the kitchen floor as i managed to spill milk everywhere (but i didn't cry;). Good distraction technique. She's been staying with me as her boyfr is a teacher & has to be in work & she needs to rest with feet up - literally.
On Tuesday i did my FT job and PT job then went to get DD2 who is home for a few days. I was on the M62 late evening in heavy rain and it was scary so i stayed at hers and we got up at 5am to come home. I then had to go into work so it was a very long day but i got home in time for the football - yay!!
Also on Tuesday I heard that i passed my qualification (relevant to my PT job) which took up most of my spare time from Dec - May - double yay!!
Gratitudes for past few days -
NHS/lovely cardiology consultant who said DD1's condition was 'ruining your life and i can do something to change that' - & then did;
sunny weather in between showers so getting lots of washing dry for all my house guests
lovely friend who has kept an eye on me during stressful week
DD2's boyfriend who is treating her to a few days away as a graduation present (heart emoji)

Morning Turtles,
I just reserved a holiday cottage in Ludlow for my daughter and I for a week in October. Really downscaled in terms of costs this time around. But obviously still money. We were going to do to the Isle of Harris but I felt it was unnecessary travel, in COVID times. It is a cute cottage and Ludlow looks lovely. We will mostly knit together and I will cook for her. A few mini adventures. We just like to hang out really. And I like to walk, and there are local beauty spots.
NSD yesterday.
