NSD 2Another relatively easy day at work. The pace has definitely slowed - most likely due to the school hols. I was able to flick between working, doing a couple of surveys, and listing an item on gummytree for my Mum. I also lowered the price on a couple of my listings. They’ve been on a couple of weeks without much interest. Will give them a couple more weeks and if they don’t sell, I’ll drop them off at the charity shop.Grateful for WFH, a slow day, DS being a great sleeper.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸5

A quiet day with lots of purposeful pottering. Heavy rain and thick cloud threatening rain in between. Think the stupid police helicopter was lost. Very loud, circling for at least 20 minutes but couldn't see it because of the cloud. I know sometimes it's car thieves - they target one area and then drive their ill-gotten gains back in a convoy and the helicopter tracks them along the bypass but that's usually in the middle of the night. Brief sunny patch in the middle of the day.
I am doing stealth decluttering - sorting through drawers and spaces then moving things out of my room into mum's areas of the bungalow (it is her stuff). Unpacked blocks of soap (it makes them harder and they last longer when you come to use them) and tidied that drawer (packaging into bin), went through the candle drawer and organised it better, moved 3 pots of moisturiser and a couple of other items into one of mum's drawers. Want to move some framed photos, tablemats and coasters and other random items that have been 'stored' in here.
Most of it was stock checked a couple of weeks ago (but since found odd items tucked away here and there) so no need to record what I've found, Will try getting up an hour before mum emerges and shuffle stuff. There are so many things she has never used and will never use (4 photo albums but mostly very decorative so a huge album only has spaces for for 12 or so photos but they were given to her as gifts so must be kept even though they do not do the job they should).
Tidied the wooden tray on my bed and the top tier of my bedside trolley, corralled several large files back into the file box, bin out (including a plate which broke last night - it was the one that already had a chip in it and mum never uses that one). The things I sorted in the last few weeks are reasonably tidy so something is working, just needed to put items like notebooks/ pills/ pens etc which are constantly in use back in order.
Grateful for a quiet day (mum still not well so she's rested most of the day), the satisfaction of neat drawers, some things keeping more or less in order. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage6 -

Hi Turtles, hope all is well in the water.
Not much going on, a bit of yoga, some crying, working and sticking to the food plan. Still decluttering my email inboxes (haven't started with the work one really).
I feel like something is shifting, I don't know what but something is shifting. I am so sad, but resoute. I am so annoyed about the debt but I feel like I am making an in-road. I feel like my spending behaviour is changing and hopefully this will be the 3rd time is a charm. Without question, the forum helps!
Grateful for (from yesterday)

Speak to your body in a loving way. It's the only one you've got, it is your home and it deserves your respect.
I know you're sad, so I won't tell you to have a good day. Instead I advise you to simply have a day. Stay alive, feed yourself well, wear comfortable clothes and don't give up on yourself just yet. It will get better. Until then, have a day.

Went to help sort through some boxes at mum's & make some space this morning. She was very grateful I was free to help. Visited a friend on my way home. Was glad we didn't go for a walk as I was very tired today. Had a good chat & I knitted some small squares to use up oddments of wool (eventually going to sew squares together & make a jumper for gardening in).
Grateful for 2 customers giving me tips with their payment, helping mum & catching up with a friendUse it up, wear it out

Bought some fruit yesterday so no NSD.
Plodding along trying to make some sense of the cellar. I found a deep flat fryer still in it's box. Never been used. The couple along the block a bit are doing their cellar as well. It's like a toy shop. Seven scooters, numerous vehicular type items and goodness knows what else. And they don't have any children so who knows who they belong to. Children who lived here at one time and have now grown up, moved away and have children of their own probably.
Himself's birthday today. We were up really early, he opened his presents and we went for a three mile walk before breakfast.
I'm off to make some soup using chicken and rice from the freezer.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6 -
Dr Carrie thanks and sending hugs, Think we have all been in the depths of despair at some times struggling with the debt monster, being unable to sleep, crying, feeling so down but look at me. Shiny example, took me long enough but out of debt. Thanks to the turtles thread and also couple of other threads on this forum, 1 debt X 100 days I found good to set little targets. Think I joined them all but hey ho savings in the bank and no debt - it's worth it in the end.Kat founder of this thread, scared me so much when I went bit haywire with my spends, soon put at end to my silly spending.I now think twice about every money transaction. I was going to buy my dd2 big bouquet of flowers but £25 really, She is worth that but she's away at for 2 weddings next week so she really won't see them. Will get a decent supermarket bunch and lots of ribbons instead.Other dd is making big bday demands, really why do you need a personalised bread board ? Do look nice but probably 3 or 4 times price of a plain one. kids !Excited and nervous for tonights big match, still proud of the lads whatever happens.Grateful forLovely lady who did my manicure/ pedicure yesterday, it was so nice to switch off phone, chill out and chat.Surveys cashed out more todayRain wont have to water friends garden tonight.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/226

A personalised bread board?? By Jove but my brain hurts! @Calling14Unless she wants someone else's name on it, and has harboured violent thoughts about him/her and their dismemberment - okay, maybe, but her own name on it? Is she in a house share? Maybe if it were a meat chopping board, I could get along with the fantasy, but a bread board? Will it even fit a full sized tiger loaf? or is it a 'single person thing'?I suppose you could compromise with a Dym0 label maker, like they had in school - or borrow a soldering iron and diy on a wooden one. - Sorry, just assumed you did not have your own soldering iron! It really is very easy to do.** just had a g00glie, my goodness, they do look nice, but they will get scuffed and scratched up in seconds!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
