I genuinely believe on any other forum it would have been called-out as such early doors.  I'm amazed at the patience of some posters in being able to continue to provide, and repeat, advice that is completely ignored.  Having had my wrist mildly skelped for insinuating this is, at best, a wind up or, at worst, someone looking for an insight as to how to "game" the system and hoodwink the DWP into believing an incredulous tale of stupendous naivety, I'll just continue biting my tongue on this thread.   o:)

Good luck to all who continue to respond.  :)

Because lots of genuine posters over the years really don't understand what's said to them and sometimes it takes several explanations before they do understand - and this is often for people whose native language is English, so it's even more understandable if a poster's native language is not English.  Then there are other posters (often anxious) who don't believe the advice until it is repeatedly confirmed - we just had a thread a few days ago showing exactly that.

Given that certain sections of the media in this very country like to make out that claiming benefits is so simple half of us are actually scammers, I can well believe someone would be that naive - and if it is a windup, well they'll have seen it's really not that easy at all.  The only possible solution given in this thread is pretty much grasping at a solitary tiny straw, and highly unlikely to succeed.

This is is now 12 pages long and all the advice there is to give has been given many times. If the OP is genuine they should read through the thread again to make sure they understand what's been advised.

As suggested i was honest to UC and told them all the facts that i have been out of country for more than 3 months now due to family issues and personal health reasons ( left uk on 25th march 2021 ) and also told them difficult to get letter from my landlady.

Thsi is what i got and update today on my journal :

I just receive a journal update this is what it saysThere was an attached PDF letter which reads as follws :

We cannot pay you Universal Credit from 28/02/2021. This is the
start of the assessment period that you
became absent from Great Britain. This is because you are
expected to be absent from Great Britain for more than one
    month from 25/03/2021..
    (I left UK on 25th March 2021).

If we have paid you too much Universal credit , you will have to
    􀀀✁✂✄☎ ✆✁􀀀✝✞✟✠ ✡☛☞✌☎☎ ✍✄✎􀀀 ✟☛
Pay back any overpaid money when told to do so.
( They have paid me for Feb , March , April , may , june . Payout is 3rd of every month )

If you disagree with a decision
You can ask us to explain why
You, or someone who has the authority to act
for you, can phone us or use your journal to request a written explanation. You willneed to do this within one month of the date of this letter.

You can also ask us to reconsider a
Decision. Tell us if you think weve overlooked or you have more information that affects the decision . Do this within one month of the date on this letter. When we have looked we will send you mandatory reconsideration notice .

If you disagree you can appeal to tribunal .
    ___________________________________________________________
Also I cant use my journal now it says :

You cannot use your journal to contact us because your claim has been closed.

    Your claim has been closed

    What you should do next
The quickest way to check if you can get Universal Credit again is by making a:
    • new claim
    • joint claim, using your partner's linking code
Once you have made your new claim, you can apply for an advance if you need money before your first payment.
    ____________________________________________________________
    Closed date:28 May 2021
Reason: You didn't provide some important information
    ___________________________________________________________________________
    Ask us to reconsider
You can also ask us to look at the decision again. This is called a 'mandatory reconsideration'.

You need to ask us by 15 August 2021.

KINDLY ADVISE WHAT TO DO NOW ?

@Alice_Holt may be able to advise more on the mandatory reconsideration side of things.
Do you think they have overlooked anything and is there any more information you can give before getting to that stage? What address will they be sending the letter out to - have you made arrangements to have post checked/forwarded?

Although you already knew you were going to have to pay some back due to being out of the country so it may be a matter of whether the amount can be queried rather than anything else.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Thanks @elsien . I told them in my journal that why i left the UK as it was emergency plus also personally i am going to a doctor for my treatment.  Plus i cant enter UK due to mandatory quarantine which i cant afford to pay. So not my fault . I want to come back and start looking for jobs and move house but cant due to circumstances. Also as they have stopped paying me i will struggl to pay rent to my landlady. Also they saying to make a new claim . can i do that ?

The new claim bit is generic wording on the letter. I wouldn’t imagine you can make a successful new claim while you’re still out of the country because you’re not eligible. Which is one of the reasons they’ve stopped payment in the first place. And you are still going to have exactly the same stumbling block with the landlady proving proof of rent.
It may not be your fault that you can’t return, but the eligibility criteria still apply.

I realise that being out of the UK for more than 1 month isn't your fault but the only reason it can continue to be paid for longer is if you went away for medical treatment, as this isn't the case then requesting the MR for this isn't going to help. This would be the reason why your claim has now closed.

I'm assuming you didn't provid proof of your eligibilty to pay rent then you will also have an overpayment for this too. I'm honestly not sure what elose to advise you on here. Others may respond when they see your update.
