  • Has your income dropped during this time - if so - then it might be worth asking the question to level the finances out. If it hasn’t dropped, then what you are asking for is a salary for childcare - if this is you child - then this is called being a parent and what you signed up for when you became a parent. It’s also called life - just enjoy it!
  • Both add the same amount to the pot = Equality.
    It really is that simple.

Anyone surprised by the number of new posters who seem to have joined to post on this thread

Is this a common thing ?

I have never noticed so many new posters on a single thread

The originator of the MMD hasn't had a drop in income but her commitments to child care has increased as a result of her partner working overtime.
Child care is - or at least should be - shared between both parents on a fair basis.
It appears that both parents were sharing childcare on a basis that they were both happy with - until the partner started working more hours.
    It's called fairness.

Do you read most 'Money Moral Dilemmas'?
    It's clickbait.
It goes out in the weekly email and almost every MMD I've read (they appear on various boards depending on the subject but quite a lot are posted on this board) has a large number of new posters.
