Morning all! :santa2:
up early for me!:D
Had to take DS1 to the bus stop, he's got about 1 1/2 hours by bus and 2 buses to get:eek: but we are picking him up tonight to go and look at some lodgings for him.He was grumbling a bit about being sore etc but I sent him with painkillers etc and a big bag of goodies to eat. He's sat on his bum all day in front of a computer so he'll be fine.
Later am going christmas shopping with Mum - she's treating me to lunch:D and wants some help to pick things for my 2 boys.
Aussie - glad DH is ok after the op!:T
Ellie:hello:
Got loads of washing too!
Have agreat day all! off for breakfast now!

Morning all; didn't get to post yesterday. The computer kept throwing me out and, in the end, I gave up. I have just caught up with the news, though.
TAPLADY - can't believe your DS survived that, having seen the photos. Hope he is recovering well (and you, too, from the shock)
AUSSIE - so glad DH is out of surgery and managed to keep more teeth than he expected. (((Hugs))) to him.
JAYWARD - (((Hugs))) to you, too. Thinking of you.
HILSTEP - (((Hugs))) to you - this is such a worrying time for you.
REDRUBY - Don't go back to work unless you genuinely feel up to it. My DH is back in Littlehampton this week - look out for the short painting overalls! Fortunately, he doesn't have to spend the whole week up a ladder this time.
CSARINA - great to hear from you and lovely pics.
JACKIE0 - good to hear from you.
MARY - Welcome to you! You have already been introduced to the maddest ones on here, I see. Mad as a box of frogs, the lot of them! Me - I'm completely normal! At least, that's what the voices keep telling me!
Well, yesterday, or rather, Saturday, our Sky box decided to stop working completely. I blamed DH, of course - everything is his fault. The box 'went funny' so he unplugged it all, then plugged it back in - this works when I do it but not when he does. Anyway, I'm glad he felt responsible because he took on the job of calling Sky to get it sorted out. He wasn't allowed to do that until Strictly had finished - we watched it on a very snowy screen, through the ordinary aerial - then he phoned them. The upshot is that they are sending a man out tomorrow morning. This is the second box we've had so I might think about changing to something else if it still goes wrong. Anyway, we only watched Strictly and Cranford over the weekend. We were going to watch the Mail on Sunday's free DVD but the DVD is playing up, as well! This left a lot of spare time in a wet weekend so I delegated some paperwork to DH and he did a great job - apart from the constant interrupting!
We were going to put the tree up this weekend but didn't get round to it. Will do it next weekend, for sure. I'll start doing all the other bits of decorating, though - the bits I get carried away with. I also have to clean my oven, sort out my freezer, wash the kitchen curtains, turn out the cupboard under the sink, and the pantry, plus finish off the wrapping up and the Christmas cards. I also have to work - thank goodness I work from home - and fit in all the housework and three visits to the gym.
On the plus side, DH coloured my hair on Saturday - it definitely needed it. 'Make me blonde and gorgeous' I said - not sure if he managed to achieve all that! Anyway, I feel better knowing it's been done.
Anyway, DH has gone to work, the BM and the WM is on and I'm deciding which job to do first. It's making me tired just thinking about it.
I pm'd AMIE days ago and haven't heard anything. I do hope she's OK. Has anyone else heard from her? Several of us seem to be missing these days. DANNAHAZ also hasn't posted for ages - hopefully, it's just computer problems.
Anyway, off to put the kettle on. Will call in later.

Morning All
Sitting at work freezing my bum off. I've switched the heating on, but with only 2 radiators for a big office, it takes a long time to warm up. I've emailled management about it, as it should be on in time for me to come into work in the morning.
Hoping to apply for a new job later on - if it's opened to the public. I need to get out of here now. The new manager is making my life a living hell. It's like working under a dictatorship. I can't take much more of it.
Got all my Christmas presents wrapped over the weekend and went to bingo on Saturday night. I won £50, but owing to a pooling rule my friend has, I came away with £20 when the total winnings were split. I also won a dancing snowman, a helium santa balloon, singing reindeer stocking, selection box and hair dryer. Gave the balloon and stocking to my friend for her toddler. She's still scraping by for money and is confused as to whether to leave her hubby or not. She's been speaking to a lot of people, who've told her she should as she could do better. I've just suggested taking a break, maybe he could visit relatives, just to give her time to think.
Right, must do my archerfish and libertycash clicks. And I need to find some printable Bob the Builder colouring sheets to make a colouring book for friend's little one.
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -

Morning all
What lousy weather again - it did brighten up for about 20 mins yesterday morning then we had the worse thunder and lightening and huge hail stones I've ever seen - combined with the strong winds, it was just vile. I had water coming in the front door, we lost a ridge tile last week that the roofer hasn't been able to fix because of the weather, so had hail stones poudning through the roof into the loft.....all good fun.
DH has gone to work with a bad headache this morning, expecting him to come home soon as he looked really rough, he drives 3 others to work though so always tries to make the effort.
Washing basket is empty, ironing basket is empty, hoovering is done, bathrooms been swished and swiped and beds are aired and made.........think it's time for a large pot of tea and a morning of patchwork infront of a film.
Hope you all had a great weekend."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Morning all.
Kathy our Sky box plays up something chronic. The account is in OH's name but will he ring them? No - too busy playing computer games grrrr. Woke up feeling rough today which sucks - I'm one of these people that doesn't do sick, probaby because OH always gets sick when I do so I end up doing twice my normal work because of course man flu is always worse than a woman's cold.£4000 challenge
