OS Monday 10th Dec 07

Morning everyone - only 15 days to go:j:j:eek:

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for today. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already.

Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier! When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Ew Monday morning again already, where do the weekends go to?!? Just another day at the grindstone for me, though I expect it'll be utterly manic there, as we seem to be awash with headless chickens these days.

AussieLass, any news on OH? Is he alright?

Jayward, thinking of you, it's hard for you I know.

Not much to report from SnowyOwlTown today, so I'll go. Have a fabulous Monday all.

Snowy

Morning :D I had a Christmas pudding in my advent calendar today :D

I've been up since 3am  Emptied the dishwasher and the second load of washing is on.

I'm very excited about today - no work mobile to worry about. I can go to the shop without having to think about taking the diary and a pen with me, then a customer ringing just as I'm trying to pay  I can finish a whole yoga session without interruption - as soon as I've stopped to take a message then rung the boss to pass the message on (who you can guarantee will say 'actually, while you're on the phone, take these details down and send the invoices please tru'), I've lost the will to live ok slight exaggeration :D

Morning Snowy and Tru, crossers and followers.

Not posted here for a while, although I have been reading the daily. For some reason, my pooter won't let me post... so, I've sneaked on using OH's lappy.

Not much to report from Chaos, but I did make some scrummy mincie pies. :D

Working full time up to Christmas  , covering holidays. Boo Hiss.

Hope OH's op has gone ok Aussie.

Love and hugs to all the poorly ones and those in need.

    Hello everybody,

Thank you for the kind PM's and concern on the thread. :A DH is now home. I have my nurses uniform on. :D I didn't put the stockings on, too hot. :p He is doing well. His mouth is starting to puff out very nicely. ;) They did the bone graft and luckily he didn't need any additional teeth out. The surgeon found another small abyss forming next to the original abyss. I had to make an appt with DH dentist as he needs a root canal on that one now. He goes to see her just after Xmas.

We got in trouble for being late. When DH went to see him on Thursday the receptionist moved his time to be at the hospital to 8am instead of 6.30am due to the island ferries etc. She failed to notify all concerned. We got a narky phone call on the way demanding where were we and even a frostier reception when we got there. :D

Jayward I'm sorry to hear your BIL is being such a pain in the neck.
Snowy Try and have a good day at work. Remember to smile. :D
    Tru Freedom. Powerful word. ;)
    Mrs Mix

Well off to make some custard for dessert. XDIL gave me some chocolate mud cake yesterday so I'm having that combination for dessert tonight. Hope you all have a great day & ((((hugs))) to those poorly or down. Byeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Morning. Just a quick one.. Gotto make the lunches and go to work... Thankfully the winds and rains have eased a bit. No damage that I can see, but it did hammer it down yesterday. Everything is really soggy.
Only 6 days till our holiday... can't wait..
    Cheers all

AussieLass, sorry I didn't realise your DH was having an op :o Glad he's ok.

Mrs_mix, just a word of warning. My strop resulted in miss and master tru completely clearing their rooms BUT I have 6 loads of their washing to do today (3rd load about to in). So it can backfire :rotfl:

I've entered the Christmas spirit by having a waving Santa today :D

Went to get a tree yesterday, and went to a Christmas tree farm - fabulous, poor DH had to hold up dozens before I found the right one. Got in the queue and the couple in front of us had two small children, and when they tried to pay, realised that they couldn't pay by card, and only had enough cash to pay for the big tree, not the little one in a tub. The lady behind the counter told them not to worry, they could take the tree and send a cheque, so the spirit of Christmas is still alive and well :T

I lost the warm glow when the second set of lights I bought was faulty - I'd already taken one back and exchanged them, so the air was a bit blue for a while :rotfl:

Off to take the dog out so will be back later (if I don't get blown away) x
