BEARER OF BAD NEWS - £5 a month with a handset - no chance.....

the £15 is a bargain - thats a £20 monthly discount on an old Dolphin 35 " 500 mins " plan with landlines as an extra thrown in, I'd have took it ! thats a healthy deal Orange never bundled 2 " UNLIMITED " together before on any Dolphin plan past or present - the system didnt allow it ( & will prob disappear as quick as it arrived :( )

this credit crunch is great for MSE debt free peeps like me - no mortgage, credit or car & everything is cheaper ( excluding gas & electric ! ) than ever........

glad to see Orange are bundling " unlimited " together !!! makes sense since people can only call you on a mobile....and thats income for Orange & offset by bargain plans for us.....great move Orange.......support Orange and give every company your mobile number not your landline and call back landlines that call you - its a pittence to Orange balanced by a massive income from companies calling your Orange mobile ;)
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)

The £5 deals are available, atleast 2 people have had them on here from previous posts recently and probably a lot more people that don't post here. I'd take it without a handset as got a K810i from them last year which is in good condition.

As for £15 being a great deal. Not really, Virgin do £10 for 300mins + 300 texts no contract which works out the same ppm as the £15 deal so not that great when you look at it that way. I don't phone landlines much or text so was hoping for £10 maximum which I would have accepted.
  • How about this?
    Touch HD-free
    400 minutes, 500 text
    £2.50 browsing
    £25 a month

    i called to downgrade ( month 11 & started on Dolphin 35 ) from Panther 45 - £40 and got 400 mins & unlimited texts for £20 - double the mins avail on Dolphin 25, minus my discounts already on there £10 & 10% off = £8 !

EDIT forgot to add - unlimited mobile browsing & Unique ( https://www.orange.co.uk/unique ) mins to 30 countries/UK Orange 01-02-03 calls are also still part of my contract :D

  • I've been trying to get a decent handset for a resonable price for a month.
    I'm currently on:-
    700 x-net minutes
    100 texts
    500Mb data
    Free home broadband.
    £30pm.

I wanted either a free HTC Diamond, or preferably a low price on a HTC HD.
The best they would offer was £49-99 for the Diamond and £299 for the HD.
These are free and £79-99 respectively for new customers.

I've been with Orange since they started in the UK! and they just gave me my PAC code without an argument.

    Oh well!

^try again say you have no problem with Orange you been there since thier birth & quote deals from other places on either handset from other dealers/networks, phones4u.co.uk do a great deal:

    Panther 45
    18m contract
    £45.00 per month

    1200 Minutes
Unlimited Texts ( can swap to 500 & get free data bolt on instead - 500MB )

8 months half price via cash back saving £180.00 = £35.00 month

    http://www.phones4u.co.uk/shop/shop_contract_details.asp?ItemKey=233801&MPItemKey=234052

they should offer something suitable as a dealer sales commission costs Orange more than them matching - as retentions are DIRECT

They offered me £13.50 p/m 100 mins, unlimited txts (based on how I use it!) and to upgrade my broadband speed to 8mbs + free phone.

    Hi guys,

I called them again and got offered the same. May be there was a note on my a/c or something!

She didn't try very hard to keep me though. I said no thanks and she sounded like she was going through the process of cutting me off. Giving me a number to call once my p&g sim arrives etc and organising my BB mac code. At this point, I said, just out of interest, what phones would I be able to get and she offered me the following...

Nokia 6300, 6301, 2630 and Samsung G600 and U800 and no more! I said what about Sony and she said not on this tariff. Strange as the guy before her reeled off some Sony's to me. I asked about the Nokia 6220 like another poster got for 10pm and she said no. I'd have to pay 30pm.

I'm a bit new at this. I thought I would get put through to retentions or something. What do you think I should do? I said I'd have a think and call back - yet again.

Had a look on ebay and the Samsung G600 seems to go for about £70 -£100. The U800 and 6301 doesn't seem as popular so can go for the same but on average a little bit less. Others not even worth mentioning. I know they aint gonna give me a really good phone, so I'm looking to get the best valued one and flog it on ebay really. At least that essentially pays for my broadband + a bit more!

    Help!

phone & ask if when they transfer you to payg, can then go to "RETAILER" and transfer back to contract on thier offer.....you find they maybe more willing to offer something than pay a retailer a LARGE commisson

what usage do you need on a plan ?
