Is the mins/texts sufficient for you? You can try bargaining for a better line rental or more mins etc... but im not sure how much they will budge. Try also asking if they can do same but on 18 month.

Remember to tell them to put that deal on the system 'under consideration' so you go and have a think about it (that way you have time to ask around without worrying if the offer is going to disappear or not)

I called back again and got the Desire HD (just delivered 5 minutes ago!) with:
900 minutes
Unlimited Texts
750mb internet
50 Picture messages
Orange maps
and Unlimited email?

Phone was free.
£17.83 pm 24 months.

I tried twice for free insurance, but they wouldn't budge and told me the fsa had got involved and didn't allow them to give it free anymore due to the insurance not coving some handsets properly or something?!
Bit gutted I didn't ask for free landline calls although I will never use what i've got I don't think! I am still going to pay the £6 insurance though as i'm accident prone

Thats a nice deal.. Considering you get 250mb extra internet than normal and orange maps.. Congrats.. happy savings :rotfl:

ello, i can upgrade from the 05/02/11....would they offer me anything now or wait untill the 5th?. just after a phone that i could sell (pref the HTC desire). I spend around £15 a month....am i dreaming? )

You are not! Best deals would be in last month of contract though! Not a surety though

So I called the PAC code number and I got offered:

HTC DESIRE HD £150 and for £20 a month, unlimited texts, 200 minutes and 250mb internet. Came very close to telling the guy to shove it up his a$$.

Looks like I will be going to PFU or CPW tomorrow and see if they can get me a hot deal with a free HTC DESIRE HD.

Thats really sad! Dont worry, Try PFU or CPW.. You should get a good deal on HTC Desire HD and that too on orange upgrade! You can also try calling PFU on 08002946067

ok here goes.. contract finishing march 11, 2011.. Currently pay £20 a month reduced from £45 on an 18 month contract.. with 2200 minutes, unlimited landline and unlimited internet and 1500 texts a month.. Have just accepted offer for htc desire hd on 18 month contract.. 400 anytime minutes, unlimited land line, 800 texts and 500mb internet for £12.77 a month.. Had to pay £40 for phone..

Gr8 Deal.. I got similar for 10£ per month but paid 156£ for the phone as was on 10£ for last 18 mths

i've been monitoring this forum as i want to move from sim only to a 18 month contract with free HTC desire. i called them up and the best the guy could offer was £50 for the phone and £30+ pm for 300 minutes, texts and some internet. Absolute rip off and i told him i was looking at a website that offering free phone and same deal for £21 pm. he wasn't interested at all!

Should i give up or try again? i think i might have been unlucky but not sure
