Orange Retention Offers
Comments
-
I'm a relatively low volume user and have come to the end of my contract. I wanted an Android phone but don't want to spend as much as the Desire would cost. I've been offered a Galaxy Apollo for free with 400 mins, 550 texts, 30 picture messages, 500Mb internet and unlimited land line calls for £12.50pm.
Any comments?
if thats a real deal then grab it, for 12.50 what else are you going to get?Self confessed Florida expertwith over 320 trips there!

The Galaxy Apollo seems like a solid phone, no complaints so far, it's got a good OS on it, go for it I say0

Bit of a blonde question here.... what is an orange retention offer?
is this their 'if your going to cancel what can we offer you to stay' service/department?
ThanksNurse with an empty purse!0 -

Yes it is !
I went for the deal. The phone seems pretty good and the deal is excellent for a new model Android 2.1 phone. It's for 24 months, which wouldn't suit some people, but the bundle suits me and the handset has a 24 month warranty. So, no sending cashback forms for the next 2 years :-)0 -
Orange contract up in Nov, however can upgrade from tomorrow. Would like the Galaxy S or HTC Desire and need to pay no more than £20 per month & don't want to have to pay for the handset. Anybody have any ideas whether this is achievable/what tariffs etc I could get- ask for!
Should I wait until Nov to get a better deal on these phones as they will be older? Advise please?0 -
you might have a chance on the Desire, but realistically I think you need to wait - if they don't offer you a good deal when you call what are you going to do? Stay until November - so they have no real incentive to drop all profit to keep you.0

Might be helpful to read a few posts above! You will see we got the Desire for free for 20 quid a month with 600 mins etc. We are not big users as our last contract was 6 quid a month!Self confessed Florida expertwith over 320 trips there!

How long before end of contract were you offered this?
I can upgrade next month when I'm down to the last 3 months and wouldn't be disappointed at all to get this.
I'm paying £25 for the racoon package at the moment, but don't get any data allowance, very rarely go over spend either.0 -
Just phoned Orange as able to upgrade from today (contract until Nov). They wanted £150 for Galaxy S or £100 for the Desire, then £22.50 per month for 300mins 300 texts, unlimited landlines & unlimited internet- Said that it would best for me to call back nearer the end of my contract if I wanted a better deal!0
