Orange Retention Offers

I dont know why but Orange are the most difficult company to upgrade with. They are wise to threats to leave et al and are now not bothered that much in retention. I know some people will get a good deal but not everyone.
Myself and my partner are on the same price plan, same bill every month, yet we have been given two completely different upgrade offers by the same guy on thephone. Asking for a PAC code or to be put through to a "manager" for an explanation and he just said the PAC code would be in the post.- weird!
anyways - enough of that. gonna move to o2 and get some decent service like my family does.Scrimping and saving!0 -

upgrades over the phone benefit from distance selling regulations. most companies generally give a cooling off period of around 14 days.
They should replace the phone.Scrimping and saving!0 -
Hi, I rang orange yesterday to enquire how long was left on my contract and was made an offer to stay with them
For £15 per month 18 month contract.
6/700 network mins
Unlimited texts
Keep all my magic numbers
I've been with them a few years, the minutes more than coverage my useage of a personal mobile and basically anyone I ring regularly and is a orange user is a magic number already (are magic numbers still orange only?). Also last year I had a few massive bills(£200 plus twice) due to using my phone abroad with work. Is there anything else they have a history of throwing in? Not really after net access as I have a iPhone on my work contract.
I've been offered a e71 free as part of the conntract, I'm intending to sell whatever phone I get from them, so any advice regarding which phone will sell for the best price and where's the best place to offload the phone or websites to get price info from.0 -

I just took out a new deal with Orange. Its working out much better for me to lose my number and start again, I can get a much better deal than an upgrade.
Thanks.
You dont need to lose your number. Get a PAC Code and take it over to a free PAYG chip.
Then a couple weeks after porting to the PAYG get the PAC from them and port it back to Orange.
You can port your number onto orange anytime - i just did it for my girlfriend. I even told them I was doing it and they couldnt do anything about it!
Get one back on themScrimping and saving!0 -
Do orange do anything with SIM only retentions deals? My GF has been on orange PAYG for almost a year now, spending about £45 every 2 months (we work it out like this because of how the free texts work out), and she doesn't want a new phone, just to save money on her PAYG. Orange's £15/month 200 mins unlimited texts would be fine for her, but would Orange do her a retentions discount? Does anyone know what we could be aiming for? Especially seeing as she could just pay £15 a month on T-mobile solo and get 350 mins.
Thanks.0 -

Try to get insurance thrown in. But if you are going to sell your phone then don't.
Try to get the most expensive phone (Samsung i8590HD is quite new or a Blackberry.) start from there and work your way down. Even the Nokia N96 held its value at around £200 since it has come out.
Good luckScrimping and saving!0 -

You should just cal 150 from your phone and speak to customer services again. They will send you out a bag to post your phone back to them or arrange a courier collection.
As long as keeping your magic number is part of the deal then you will be able to keep them.
Depending on which handset you pick, you may have to pay the difference in price for the handset (if applicable).
Hope this helps.Scrimping and saving!0
