Loving the fireplace!  Looks like you can turn your hand to everything, Willow.  I thought I was pretty handy and resourceful but you put me to shame xx
Anything is possible with a little bit of you tube and  google images! I am sure everyone can do things they need to. I don’t have a choice so I just have to
do everything ! I’d love to pass the book occasionally! X
Yeah, good old YouTubeyay.  It's my 'go to' place for finding out how to do anything.  I must have saved a fortune over the years by doing things myself and not having to pay a tradesman. DH is pretty handy but he's always busy and tends to let things lapse.  I get accused of nagging if I keep asking him to fix things so it's easier and less hassle to spend  a bit of time on YouTube and then fix things myself.  I was fed up with the kitchen taps dripping. Went on for weeks and they were getting worse. It was bad enough  with just the cold one doing it but once the hot tap started it was wasting all the hot water.  In the end, after several 'reminders' to DH and nothing happening I watched YouTube, bought some washers on eBay which came the next day and did it myself.  No problem at all and I didn't flood the kitchenthumbsup.  I never even told DH I was doing it.  All he said one day was ' looks like those taps have stopped dripping' as if it had happened by magic.  I said nothing.
    😂

id have not shut up about the fact I’d done it!! It used to annoy my ex no end that I’d done it. X

I need to straighten one of my kitchen cupboards and when my partner said: “ oh it’s tricky balancing cupboard doors” I took it as my cue to go on YouTube and watch some videos to teach myself how to do it!
Have you managed to do it yet? You tube saves me so much money. Pinterest gives me so many amazing ideas as well. X

Did another coat of paint tonight and will wait for it to dry overnight.

Physio was yesterday and they have pretty much said I’m not making any progress and there’s nothing more they can do until after I’ve seen the neurosurgeon.

DVD selling woman hasn’t received the DVDs. 🤦🏼‍♀️ She messaged today saying she hasn’t received them do I’d said I’d check tonight after work. 5pm another message asking if I had checked. Took her almost a week to pay but when she wants something is on me at least three times a day. I’ve really had enough of dealing with her and will refund tomorrow if it hasn’t arrived just to stop the messaging.

I’m actually in bed. My neck is hurting and I think I’m getting a cold. DD is cuddled up next to me.

waiting for refund still. Account is very low until that comes through. Not quite in the overdraft though. Extra loan payment has gone off the loan so that is looking better. Plus an extra £485 that I’ve been clearing bit by bit.

Your fireplace is looking good, well done. 👍🏻

Your DVD buyer sounds like a nightmare, I hope the DVDs turn up soon.

I had a similar drama over a £1 hat I sold on Vinted! 😂 I waited it out and went to Vinted who confirmed that the parcel had been collected after the woman tried to tell me the shop wouldn’t give it to her because “there was a problem with the barcode” 🤔 but the tracking showed it as collected. I got my money and she left me sh***y feedback!

    Hope you’re feeling better soon.

My son sold a jumper sent it recorded delivery, buyer says the didn’t get, checked online was showing still in the post office this was a week later and then randomly it got delivered the next day 🤷🏻‍♀️. It must have been lying in a sorting office somewhere.
Sorry to hear physio no longer working and your not feeling great. Early night a good idea x

I watched a couple of tutorials. These hinges are less mysterious than I thought ;-)  I will tackle it at the weekend when I am home alone.

I love Pinterest too. Plenty of quilt ideas. I am sewing a play/ fidget/ sensory  mat for my grandson and collecting lots of ideas for making a quiet book for when is a little bit older.

This has been a nightmare from start to finish. She doesn’t get things when you message either so have to really focus on what you’re trying to say otherwise I just get constant messages about it.

I’ve got something stuck at the post office too. I’ve had a delivery card but they can’t find it. I’ve been several times abs the guy sees me and says straight away that he’s looked abs can’t find it. It’s he regular there and he’s amazing usually. X

The quilt sounds great and the sensory mat. I didn’t have the confidence when DD was younger. X
