Feeling like I am moving forward, finally.

Dryer was.collected and Wednesday has been given as a date for the other garage stuff to be collected.

Sold some big items online so now waiting for pick up of those. Lots of other things to be listed to give away or for sale. Hopefully will see some movement on them.

All washing done and dried, including bedding and coats. Nice when you have the weather to do more than the basics like coats and throws. Got some vacuum packs as well to condense space.

Last two weeks before the exam so got a few left with last minute lessons and then start the second part of exam work.

DD is volunteering for the next two days at a local sports club. She does it often in the holidays and enjoys it. They call her 'coach xxxx', which she loves. She went there as a child and now helps with the younger group. It also means I can work without feeling guilty.

Got potentially a lot of work taking place over the next few months. I have neglected a few bits and now need to do some bits.

Closed an account I had open today as well. It was the bathroom account, but they don't automatically close it. I have done it now anyway. One less credit open in my name.

Hoping for another day where I can get the washing dry.

    Have a lovely week.

I have a question to ask, and hoping people can answer!!

Has anyone bought a helium birthday balloon recently? How much did you pay for it? Just a standard balloon, nothing spectacular and not a stack or numbers.

    Tthank you!

What would people be willing to pay for this?

£7.99 for a panda shaped balloon. I think the normal round ones were £4.99 but I can’t tell the size of yours x

Phew. Summer work quota has been completed. I am now on extras, which helps pay the bills. Not sure about a holiday this year other than the UK ones we have booked, although I feel so bad for DD as her dad has multiple abroad holidays (currently in Athens) and never once has he taken her in 8 years. Can take his gf's kids, but not his own. He asked once but it was in her school term, so he decided to keep the dates convenient for the other kids, just not his own. I have told him he is a constant let down and is selfish. He doesn't see it and refuses to acknowledge it. It just makes me feel guilty that I might not be able to take her abroad this year and she is missing out.

I still can not sort out my finances now I am being paid at the end of the month. I don't know how I am going to do it going forward. I have my budget and know what I am spending, I just can't seem to not end up in my overdraft until the pay comes in. I had it figured when paid on the 15th.

Any ideas? I have changed my mortgage date to make that work, but still ended up not quite right. I did pay some credit card, which might be responsible. I might have to leave that until the end of the month.

Operation declutter is still going well. This summer will be the start of the house renovations. I can not wait for it to look how I am envisioning it. Garage is slowly being worked through and the four skips that will be starting to arrive in the next few months will be used fully!!

I have worked out my monthly day to day spending and I put the whole lot into savings and transfer a weekly amount to myself on a Friday. It’s the only way I’ve managed semi successfully so far

I know its not ideal, but could you try and not pay extra to credit card for a month or two and get a month ahead so that you can go back to "paying" yourself on 15th if that is what works for you.
