I have debated over and over again whether to post this, but reached the conclusion someone might be able to help.

A few months ago, I was accidentally referred for breast cancer. I had pain, which is not a sign, and all professionals have since told me that pain no longer gets a referral to the specialist unit. Thankfully, or not, depends on how you see it, two areas of concern were identified. One was a cyst and one was a benign tumour. Whilst investigating these, and biopsies, magnification, ultrasound and everything else, another area of concern was found. I have had more treatment and I am now waiting for the results of this.

I am not sure if anyone else has been through this and how they coped.

Does anyone have any advice? Because this third area wasn't identified at first, I am almost 13 weeks in to the wait for answers. Worried about what it could be and just feel in a constant state of limbo.

Sorry to hear you’re going through this worry. I can echo @Baldybear Macmillan are brilliant and were really helpful when Mr SA was going through his treatment. They also have an online forum which I found very supportive. Take care xx

The forums on breastcancernow are helpful. I’ve had a recent experience and yes found the waiting and change to what I thought was happening the hardest parts (biopsy grade 2 but the sample taken in op 1 was upgraded to grade 3 so extra treatment needed) - the wait was always 2 weeks, but those 2 weeks + 2 weeks etc soon added up!

    Thanks all.

I will look into Macmillan. As I don't have a diagnosis, it is hard to approach as I know people who do might need it. There is still a very strong chance this could be nothing.

You're right Stymied, the original referral wasn't urgent so waited a few weeks for that, then the wait for tests after concerns were found, then the wait for results only to find that more tests are needed on another area that wasn't seen until later has all added up.

The care I have received has been incredible, I can not fault how they acted once they saw things, but waiting for results has just been horrendous.

Well, the end of the Easter holidays has come.

DD and I had some nice days out and activities. Our best day was going to the zoo. Well, it was mine anyway! Our holidays seemed to fall later than others, which meant lots had gone back this week and we were off so the zoo was quiet. It had a small chance of rain as well so think that might have put people off. The result was a very quiet zoo visit and a chance to see everything. We even did the slow boat ride.

DD had her usual horse riding lessons and she had the day with her dad yesterday.

My thoughts have been dominated by health, but I am pleased I got out with DD. I had some tests done again last week so results should be in late next week or the week after.

I start a new job hopefully next week. I have been working but not tons. It has been slow to build and this will massively help. I have been working over the holidays with GCSE students wanting extra as they reach their exams. It all helps pay the bills.

My credit card and bathroom have both been cleared in the last few months. That will help with the monthly and also my mental health seeing debt reduce. I had some savings and interest had gone up so I decided to clear it.

    Hope Everyone else is okay.

Still waiting for results. I keep getting told this is a "good sign" but last time it wasn't as although an area had been cleared, another area was needed to be tested.

I started my new job today. That was interesting and I will update when I can. It will pay the bills so that is critical at the minute.

Summer job starts on Saturday. I do two aspects for it so this is the first. This is the least lucrative of the two, but equally as important. I will be happy to be earning money again.

Been decluttering a fair bit. Hoping to have a lot sorted by August, including the results of my health.
