Thank you for your kind wishes.
Christmas was quiet this year again, but that was much needed. DD had burnt out and as much as she hates to admit it, was tired. We had a lot of those pre Christmas things that involved social aspects and most nights she would come home from school and fall asleep. It was peaceful!
I have brought her to my parents in Wales for a few days.
We have a busy remainder of the week from tomorrow starting with the annual pantomime we go to. She returns to school on Tuesday so I have already told her Monday is a total relax day. She has some lego sets that she asked for, so I think it would be a good day to do them.
Hope that everyone had some peace over Christmas, or a little break. It can so stressful.

Morning all,
I miss posting on here so have decided to pop the occasional thing on.
Had a lovely week off. Visited Wales, had a day walking along the beach, then the pantomime and dinner at my sister's.
We then had tea with my neighbours, which is always lovely and last night was the fish and chip supper night with the band we are part of.
We have secret santa (but you can swap with anyone who has gone before you) so ideally you want your number drawn last. The whisky went round quite a few people and they last person ended up with it. Then we had fish chips and mushy peas with bread and butter, a quiz, followed by snail racing (it was some online thing not actually snails as I thought) we get three drinks included for £5 each. You can buy more drinks if you need them but that is the basic package. I love being part of this community, we had bowling before Christmas with the training band and if there are spare places, we get included in the main band as well.
Tomorrow DD is off school and back Tuesday we have a planned day off together doing her lego.
I decluttered my job and officially left December 31st. I am currently looking for something part time so that I can support DD still. That will be my January main focus.
I need to update my vision board to reflect my new priorities. A lot has changed over the last 12 months and I need to be having a clear vision for the future.
My doctorate is going ok. I submitted a chapter and will have to defend it with a panel of experts at some point in January and then I have 18 months to complete it. It is more like 12 months as the final six months will be edits. I have had two pieces published on what I am writing about and one is in the queue to be published in the next few weeks. Those were definitely the highlight of the year.
Wishing everyone a lovely peaceful January. Hope the month doesn’t linger too much and we start to see fresh buds coming up soon

Happy New Year to you and your daughter . Thought of you today I went to the retail park near the big shopping centre to meet a friend for coffee . Are you looking for a job in similar field or something completely different ? Doctorate sounds like it's all coming along.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.2
