I used to save any change in a tin for Xmas but since I hardly carry cash I have stopped it. My bank which is N@tw@st do what is called a round up, where every transaction you make via your debit card, they round up to the nearest pound and put it into your saving account. You can also do “double up”, where they double up the amount to your savings. Since I have taken the option of the double up scheme ,it’s amazing how quickly my savings account is going up. Every Saturday they send me a text telling me how much has been transferred to my savings account. X

  • Currently in Iceland hoping to have seen the Northern lights on my birthday today, but it wasn't to be. Instead we had snow that stung as it hit you side on, on top of a mountain.

It's a beautiful country though. I have been indulgent and booked a yacht tour. I hope I see them.

I've missed them every time in the UK.

Happy Birthday, have a good time :)
  • Thanks for the birthday messages. Our trip to see the Northern lights on Monday was unsuccessful. Yesterday's trip was cancelled and tonight was our last night. We got rebooted on the same yacht, which even had a bar. The lights were worth the wait and could be seen by the naked eye.

I'm in awe at how amazing the world can be.

  • Spent an hour evaluating money to see how much Iceland cost. It was more expensive than I expected, but I was grateful I got some money for my birthday, so everything is covered.

Still got some money due in from my incomes

Had an offer of more work from the summer work company. That's an unexpected surprise. It won't be as much as it is in the summer, but it'll be paid at the end of December, so totally worth doing.

Very tired today, two very late nights in Iceland to see the Northern lights and an early start yesterday to get home.

I'll be in bed early tonight, that's for sure!
