My wound is infected though (the one that the staple fell out of). I have an appointment this morning at the hospital to do another wound check and we will see where we go from there. Hopefully, it's starting to heal again.
I've asked for another sick note for at least another two weeks. I don't want to return to work with another infected wound.

Just waiting on the Dr agreeing the time off now. I don't see why not considering the environment I work in.
Money is ok. Waiting on a few bits coming in.

I've not been managing my money well at all this last week. I need go get stricter with myself. I've earned the money from starting my summer job, but as usual I spend it before I have it in my bank. It's gone on practical things like a new air fryer and I didn't have a TV downstairs for months as it had broken.
I'm going to use some of my emergency fund to sort out the banks and then I have to ve stricter with myself. I can't carry on like this as it actually makes me miserable and then I emotionally spend.
I'm just hoping I've got the determination to do it.

We all have blips like this - it’s normal. The good thing is you’ve recognised it and know how to move on. You definitely have the determination to do it.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

You've noticed early and I echo what @Sun_Addict says above. It's easy to hold yourself to standards you wouldn't hold others to ime, think what advice you'd give a friend. Cliched but it can work or at least make you take a step back and think for a moment.2

I've saved on no fuel and childcare with being off but have more than made up for it with my spending. Its all accounted for, but the money hasn't arrived from my job so my banks look appalling. I've decided that I'm going to use my emergency fund to reset and when summer money comes in, then I'll replace it.
I'm also going to use one of my other banks for personal spends. I've been contemplating it for years but never done it. That way I can't overspend.
I've thought about it over night and want a fresh start.
I've earned more and just got more complacent with it. I do have a treat budget pot so there's really no excuse.

Morning,
Sorry, I've not posted, recovery, returning to work, and we've has a very sudden and unexpected bereavement in the family, with another terminally ill relative so it's been a very difficult time.
I just didn't have the energy to post especially with money being so awful. I've been emotionally spending to cover up how I've been feeling about it all.
The relative that died was early 50s and had a recent diagnosis but it was so far gone, there was nothing that could be done and within a few weeks she had gone. She passed last Sunday. Her mum also has a terminal diagnosis so tye family is quite literally struggling to comprehend it all.
I do need to rein in my spending, it is out of control
