Have a good holiday , sounds like you are on the same flight as my work colleague if you have gone from our local airport. Have some downtime not worrying about money and enjoy the sun.
What a small world. Yes, I'm at the big local one flying to Malaga.

Yes, 9 hours delay. Over an hour in passport control and sat on the bus waiting to go.

Fly home tomorrow. Hopefully not another 9 hour delay.

Not spent hardly anything but a few bits I've wanted. Got to buy some bits at the airport.
I haven't focused on money and not used my journal, but have been aware in my head and that's progress.

    Morning,

Got back home without incident and delay. Had the funeral the day after, and then DDs room is being decorated. My auntie isn't so good and the drs have been to see her a few times. I've got the decorator here this morning and then I'll pop in to see her.

Money needs resolving, but I'm just trying to tick over at the minute and control what I can. I'm not being harsh on myself. My head isn't with it enough and I know adding extra pressure will only make me more anxious.

DDs uniform had been sorted. The cost was £500 so far. I also need to sort her trainers and school shoes, so a little more, but the bulk is done.

I've bought everything for her room apart from the floor, which is being quoted today. That was all budgetted for, so as long as it comes in at cost, it will be fine.

My car service and boiler service are all booked in. The cost of my car service is ridiculous, but it needs doing and also needs an MOT as well. I'll find the money for it somehow.

Hope everyone is having a good Saturday x

Sorry to hear about your aunt . Are you entitled to delayed flight compensation?

I've applied but I'm sure they'll say no..I will appeal it. It's £350 each if we get it.

Sorry to hear your news but glad the debt isn't too bad. Money/budgeting is such a balancing act and it can be so easy to tip over when things start to go wrong in other areas of your life. Glad you know where you are mentally and are aware of the debt/spending as that's half the battle.

    Thanks, Sashy.
I'm.an emotional spender so it's easy to get sidetracked easily.

Been clearing our the house this weeks.
One skip of rubbish and so far 5 bin bags of clothed have gone to the charity shop.
A lot more will be added as i make my way through mine and DDs drawers. She's with her dad for the day tomorrow so that will enable me to spend a good chunk of the day sorting and getting rid. It's impossible when she's here as she wants to keep everything.

Her new bed has four storage drawers and her makeup desk has a drawer as well so there's lots of storage.to hopefully keep her room tidy. She's appalling at keeping it clean and tidy. She has zero ability to organise herself at all.

I'm just glad I'm.on top of something as things feel like they are so out of my control.

Flooring is a lot more expensive than I thought, but decorating was a lot less so it had evened out. Her room should hopefully.be completed by Friday euth everything done and sorted.
Then I can clean and sort the rest of the house!

Hope you get compensation for the flight delay. We’ve been very lucky in all the years we’ve traveled to never have a delay longer than an hour. Good news that the return journey was fine though.

Sorry to hear about your aunt x
