I have to go back in to the hospital tomorrow. The middle staple has come lose, so I have a hole that needs closing up.

The wound is bigger than I expected and I'm quite upset by it. It sounds ridiculous but I've never had marks on my stomach and have still been able to wear a bikini but now I can't. I know it's trivial compared to some.things but it's something big to me.

Sorry your wound has opened up and hope they sort it out tomorrow.  Totally understand about the scar. I had one after an ovary removal while pregnant with my second daughter which was bigger than expected and vertical across my stomach rather than along the bikini line.  Never wore a bikini after that although it does fade in time.

What a pain about the staple. Bio oil is brilliant for scars it worked really well fading my ankle surgery scars and you can barely see them. Wear a bikini anyway don’t worry about scars no one will think anything about marks honestly x

Agree with @Sun_Addict.  I have a C Section scar from belly button down as had to have an emergency C-section and I still wear a bikini.  My family all call it my zip!  The scar definitely fades with time.

    Thanks both

After I had my accident at work I had to have my long hair cut into a bob. I have a hunch on the top of my back too, which I've adjusted to. I guess it just feels like another part of me that has been altered. I was proud of my flat tummy after being 40 and having a child. I think this is probably coming across wrong. If I had had stretch marks, then I would be fine as it was for my daughter. I don't look at others scars in a bad way.
I don't like my legs and enjoyed feeling confident about that part of my body as it gave me a focus other than my legs and back that I don't like.

I hope this is making sense?

I'm sure I'll adjust, it's probably the shock of seeing the size of it and the fact it has a gaping hole in it. Hospital today to fix it again.

Yes, I've had one lot of staples removed. I have another three incisions that they've checked and now left. They've used something else to close it instead.

They were very thorough and checked my obs. They weren't great when I got there so they kept me an hour, did bloods and got the dr to check me out.

I'm feeling a lot calmer now. I'm not sure why I got so upset about something do trivial.

Payday was yesterday. I tried a different approach and paid extra off my debt first. I normally don't do it that way and pay off a proportion but then the rest i have allocated never gets paid off because I often see it as extra money and then I spend it. I will see how it works this month.

Next month I drop into the next 10k on my mortgage. It feels like a nice achievement to be down into the next step.

Summer money will start being earned more mid June.
