  • Have you forgotten the council tax doesn't come out in February or March if you are on a 10 month payment schedule?  That might be why you have more money than expected in your account.  Glad you enjoying half term week.
Hi, I'm on 12 months, so it's not that. It could just be that my ex paid me the same day as I got paid, which hasn't been the case for a long while. I did adjust my budget as if he wouldn't be paying so could also be that..x

  • Swimming today and then we went to the park later on. Tonight she had aerial sling class so a full day for DD. We've agreed weekly swim sessions on a Sunday starting next weekend.

Tomorrow DD is with her friend from 11am. I'm going to go and have a day for myself, I think.

My ex's usual payment is due tomorrow.  DD needs some tops so I am hoping it comes in so i can get her another couple. I got her a few this week, but she needs more.

The week off has been lovely. I've also filled my tutoring slots so I'm booked from now until June when my summer Work starts. I've had the contract for this already, which is good. It means I can focus on the bathroom and a holiday for DD and I.

    Happy March!

It's DDs birthday so she's planning a sleep over with her friends next week. She has already planned the bits and I went to buy the pampering things today.

Today has been none stop. Two clubs, tutoring, picking up a made item that was then closed (they advertised this time) and then food shopping and pamper stuff shopping for the sleepover. We've got instrument lessons in 20 minutes as well today. That will be followed by a bath and then I'm having a fakeaway. I have been wanting a kebab for ages but gluten free isn't something I can get round here, so I'm making my own.

Money is ok. Ex money came in on the 29th. I've paid all bills now so it's shopping and fuel. Mothers day falls this month too so I need to make sure I remember that. I've got most of the gifts anyway, but they'll be a few last minute ones.

I'm overpaid my car this month as well, which is slowly reducing my monthly payment. Once that has reduced to where I want it, I'll switch it to reduce the term.

Hopefully I can stay on this even keel for a little while.

I'm still waiting my operation date. That will be helpful as I'll have no fuel costs for those two weeks.

Down to my last bit of money. Pay day is a week today. Mothers day and DD's birthday have also taken a bit. She has been accepted into a local high school and they're running a residential in October. I paid the deposit for that today, which was £25.

Overpaid the car this month. I'm glad I have been able to do that. I've also got a month's emergency fund.

A full uni day tomorrow followed by takeaway with DD. Looking forward to her birthday next week. X
