Three years to get debt free

  • Went on my crafting course this morning, it was nice and relaxed. I have no idea how it will turn out and feeling a bit nervous about how it might look, but it'll be mine no matter what!

Did some jobs this afternoon. I had a grass thing growing in the gutter that needed to come out. My neighbour held the ladder as he doesn't like heights whilst I went up. I only asked him to do that. It was really wedged in though and took some time to get it out.

I've done a few jobs this afternoon and then picked up DD from her weekend at her dad's. She's bought some beads and has started making bracelets with it.

I have two hospital appointments this week. One will result in me being sedated, so I'm a bit nervous about it.

Money isn't where I'd like but we know why. It'll be better next month now I know what the future holds.

    Have a lovely evening everyone.

  • Happy February.

Money isn't great,  but everything is recoverable.

Had a tough week on all fronts. I've got medical procedure tomorrow however a previous hospital appt has found something. it's not anything really sinister and should hopefully be treated, but will likely require surgery. I have another appointment next week to discuss next steps and then we will decide.

My Childminder also gave 28 days notice yesterday. Completely shocked and not expected and panic set in as to what I'm going to do. There's always a way, and I'm sure I'll find it at some point.

I'm unable to drive for tomorrow so reliant on my dad and sister to help me get about.

All main bills are out now. It's just some odds and ends that I need to deal with. I'll need to move some money out of savings to cover everything though. It can and will be done.

Very tired tonight and DD is at her club. I've been researching about what they've found and I must have had it for years as its grown to a big size. It's now 1/3 of my organ. It'll account for so many of my issues over the years and looking back now, I think it was the cause of sepsis. It explains extreme tiredness, difficulties and suddenly not being OK with certain foods and how that changes. They still think the sensitivity will be there, but it will explain so much. It's a common thing to have, just not the size I have it. Fingers crossed tomorrow goes OK and next Thursday has some plans to deal with it. It needs removing anyway!

    Hope all goes well today
  • Thanks both,

They've found two things and I will require surgery. I will meet the consultant on Thursday and we will look at next steps and timescales.

I've moved money from savings and looking forward to pay day!

I hope the surgery will be beneficial and glad that plans are in place. Bad news about your childminder, hopefully you source a replacement soon. Nothing ever runs smoothly does it 🙁

  • I'm glad it went well today and it sounds like they are on the ball with a plan to treat you 😊xx

  • Thanks both,

It seems to all hit at once, doesn't it? I have found a replacement for one of the days, and I am hoping work will allow me some flexibility on the other. It is only until July as she starts secondary school in September.

I went shopping today. I needed some wood so went to the cheaper supermarket to get it. I think I will do a click and collect followed by a visit as the cheaper supermarkets don't do the click and collect near me.

DD needed some clothes as well so I got her some bits from a bigger supermarket.

I have done the washing, washed both lots of bedding, hoovered the stairs and upstairs, took DD to her club, and now waiting to tutor. DD isn't feeling well so we did one club today and she was complaining of a bad headache so we came home. She didn't want to do the first club either, but I persuaded her to give it a go and see how she felt.

Once I have done tutoring, I'll make one bed as hopefully that bedding will be dry, before having a bath and relaxing for the afternoon. I feel okay but tired. I don't know if it is the sedation stuff, or the anxiety of everything just getting to me. I am relieved they have answers, and on Thursday I will have a full picture and hopefully a time frame.

Bets get prepped for my learner!

  • Thank you.

I need to have my gall bladder removed. The stone is almost 50% of my total size, so it needs to be removed totally. I have to wait to see when they can do it. I need a meeting first because of my allergies and history of sepsis. Hopefully they can fit me in soon.
