Wow, didn't realise how long it had been.

Yes, I'm all fine. I've been working hard getting ready to submit my 15,000 word proposal. It's getting edited by my supervisors currently but the deadline is the 1st May so it's looming!

Start my summer job in a couple of weeks. I have two parts to it now so it's earlier than last year but a little more money.

Money is ok, I've not really saved much and I have some house repairs that need doing. It'll cost a bit to do, but will need doing.

Had a lovely Easter hols with DD.

Had more bad news with the family and the dreaded C word. It's knocked me a little but we're getting through it as a family. That's all we can do.

Got some bits for sale too. That's going OK.

    Hope everyone is OK?

Thanks all, they had surgery to remove the organ a few weeks ago so that's a good sign that they can treat it in that way. I've buried my head in my studies to help keep myself going. It got to the point that I just can't believe how badly my family have been hit this year. It was another shock find and pure accident it got picked up. Very grateful it was though and hoping taking the organ out is enough. My auntie who was given 6 months is in month 6 now and she's starting to show more signs that she's deteriorating. Just again making sure she's comfortable and has everything she needs.

Easter has been expensive with days out etc, but I'm okay with the balance of everything now. I can still pay off the loan so all is OK as long as I can keep it so I can do that. I've had a lovely two weeks with DD. We've had so much time out together and then this week has been more  chill time. She had a girly trip with mum and a party this week so I had two afternoons off. I met my friend for coffee on one of them and that was lovely.

Today I've bought gardening things to cheer up my garden. DD is at her dad's tomorrow and there is nothing uni wise I can do so I'm going to focus on the garden.

I've painted the decking whilst being off too..it's had a couple of coats now. My car has had its MOT and service at half the price quoted by the dealer so I'm happy with that money saving.

One item sold for £156 yesterday. I paid £150 for it but they've not paid or messaged me back about collection. I hope it's not another non payer as that money is replenishing my account for the garden stuff.

I sold some other items for £50 too.

I'm much more comfortable with balance now I've hit the savings goal I wanted. Hoping to increase it slightly over the summer with the extra work, but also aware that I'd like a holiday and some.house repairs are now desperate and likely to cost a lot of money, but some of the things really can't wait.

    X

Sorry to hear about your family and the horrible C. It’s affected somebody I know really well, they seemed to be doing well and then have just been given a bombshell. Praying the get a bit of good news this week. I don’t know about you but I was hoping for a better year this year but it has been one thing after another.

Enjoy your gardening tomorrow, it’s what I plan to do and with this weather hopefully improving I would rather be outside than inside.xx
