It must mean so much to have closure on that part of your life. Well done, time to move on 👏

  • Made a few sales that will hopefully equate to over £100. That includes bids on items that won't end until next weekend.

I've noticed more activity this week so might be linked to the 15th payday.
Ordered something I didn't need so initiated return. I'll take it to the post office tomorrow with the sold items.

Full uni day tomorrow with my supervisors.

The rest of the week is a mixture. DD wants to do some activities and I also need to do some studying and a bit of work.

Need to be careful the next few weeks. Thankfully Feb is a shorter month. I've got DD's birthday, boiler service and dentist all booked in.
March I have a couple of birthdays but not loads and then April is my car service and MOT.
It's a big family birthday at the end of April too so I need to be remembering that. It shouldn't impact me too much if I'm aware of outgoings.

I also need to put my fuel claim in next Monday. That'll be an extra £30. Not loads but every little helps.

  • I've been teaching DD about money, too. Teaching her to budget for what she wants and last year she sold some of her items and got the money for them.
She's asked me to sell some of her toys for her so her room is starting to look a bit better. I always give her the money and she enjoys watching it come in.

We've given away a few bits too and she's happy they've gone to a good home.
At least she'll grown up understanding that if you don't need it, you could sell it and buy something you do want.

    She's learning pretty fast!

  • Today has been a very good clearing out one.
DD and I had the dentist, followed by gutting her room.
She's grown up as she no longer wants her dolls. I'm sad as it's the end of a phase. I've got around 8 items listed as sales, the same on a giveaway site.
2 binbags of rubbish has gone
1 binbag of clothes is ready to be donated.

Her room has been transformed. I've moved most of the items listed into the spare room so she can see the difference.

All the money goes to her when/if it sells.

We've cleaned her room too and all her clothes drawers have been sorted and cleaned.

She says she likes her room much better now everything has a place.

  • Just as I posted, three items have bids so at least £45 for her. They're pick up only due yo size, but I'm glad she'll get some money. X
