That’s great she’s learning early. When I was a child I was really good with money and enjoyed saving up for things I wanted. Having said that my mum didn’t know I skipped school lunches and saved the money instead. She used to wonder why I was so ravenous when I got home. I also used to walk to school instead of getting the bus and kept that money too.

She's decided she wants to save it as it's her birthday soon and everything she wants She's asked for already.

I was okay at saving when I hit 16 but as I got older, I became awful. Now I'm getting better again!

  • Can't believe how difficult some people are when selling and giving things away. Some no shows on free items and some trying their luck on selling items. Had two items of mine sold to the same bidder but then didn't pay. No option to leave negative feedback anymore either.

How annoying 😡I’ve had success with giving away items for free but selling is another matter 😬

I've had some success but people reserving then not turning up. If you don't want it, don't reserve it. Or at least let me know you've changed your mind!

  • Half term is over. This next leg is only 5 weeks so should be doable.

Unexpected in that DD wanted her toys selling and that led to a complete clear out of her room.

Lots sold and selling for her and I've sold some of my bits. She's hoping for around £100 and it's looking likely she'll achieve near that figure.

I've started buying some easter eggs to put away too so it's not such a big hit. I've bought DD's birthday presents and now just need a few bits for the day.

Pay day in a couple of weeks, I'm excited to see how much I can now go above what I owe before I need to pay it in November.

I've got a funeral tomorrow afternoon.

Funeral was OK. Service was nice and spending time with my family was lovely and so very rare.

Some items sold and being picked up. DD has done amazing. The last of her items are being collected tomorrow.

I've had a full uni day today but sorted so much out.

DD and I have a common TV programme now that we like so we've been spending time watching it.

Money is ok. I still have enough to pay off the loan.

Payday in around 12 days. I'm looking forward to having more than the loan and seeing the gap go the other way.

    Morning,

Things are OK. I've paid well over £500 off my loan this month and my sister has asked me to go on a weekend away with her so that was £260 plus DD's birthday so that cost a fair bit. She's not 10 till next week but it's on payday. Slowly creeping up with money. It seems to be slowing down so I analysed mh spending and realised what it was and it was birthday, overpayment and the holiday so nothing drastic from my spending point of view.

DD has a new lesson this morning of a sport we haven't tried yet so will see how that goes.

I'm very happy with the credit card progress. It'll be below tye next thousand bracket by next week and then it will seem a lot more manageable. It's weird but there's something about the next bracket down that is different. Even if it's just £1 under!
