Three years to get debt free

Morning everyone,

DD is out with her dad today so I have the opportunity to do some sorting. 

The other garden furniture arrived yesterday so I do need to build that but I’m just aching today so won’t be doing it. I have the holiday to build it anyway. 

I need food today so will be going shopping as soon as DD goes. I struggle to stick to what I need as I see things and go “oh I’ll get that” 😂 even with a list! 

I had high hopes for today but I’ve woken up aching so think I’m just going to see how I feel.

as long as I sort out at least one basket I’ll feel like I’ve achieved something x

Morning, I’ve just been out my walk whilst it’s cool.
Sorry to hear you aching today, good that dd going with dad so you can just get essentials done and relax.
Im the same when I go shopping oh I’ll get that it’s new/on offer. I have a lidl within walking distance so go there more since Covid and I’m never tempted to buy extra. Don’t do as many goodies 🤣🤣 x

I do need a thank you teacher card and done chocolates for her TA. I’ll be getting those.

I’m in the garden. I’ve resorted to pain killers even though I’m trying to avoid them x

Don't feel too bad about resorting to the painkillers. sometimes they really are the only solution.  I hope they kick in fast and you can enjoy the rest of your day.


I did several loads of washing starting about 6 yesterday morning as it was going to be such a brilliant drying day. Things like fleeces and throws that I want to put away for a few months. They're really long lines, I planned to get masses of stuff dry.  I was sitting  enjoying a well-earned cuppa when I saw one of the lines snap and everything fall to the ground.  Not the end of the world as far as that load went as they were nearly dry anyway and they only fell onto grass.  Whilst I was scooping them up the second line snapped and trying to catch the washing before it hit the ground (whites, mostly towels) I must have twisted round too much  and ever since my side and back have been giving me gyp whenever I move. I must have 'pulled' something.  Barely slept a wink last night, I just couldn't get myself comfortable.  I've had to resort to painkillers twice this morning.  DH was out yesterday when I had my washing line woes but has managed to join various bits of spare line together this morning  to make it usable until he can go and get new ones. There are some rare occasions when I'm glad he's a hoarder! I still had 2 overflowing baskets of wet washing left to dry from yesterday and need to get it dry today or it will start smelling funny and need washing again.  I don't want the tumbler on if I can help it in this weather and anyway there's so much to dry it would be on all day and evening.


Sorry to moan.  This isn't the relaxed Sunday I'd envisaged.  I hope all your readers are having a better day.

Ah no Fidelia, that’s so frustrating. Hopefully you get it all dry and get a washing line.

backs going really isn’t the best thing. It has happened to me once and I wanted to cry 😭. Glad DH can sort for you though.

DD had a lovely day out. She’s still up now though so tomorrow morning is going to be a nightmare trying to get her up for school. 


ex gave me the bag back. He said he doesn’t need it so I’ll sell that myself. Will see how it goes when I try to sell it.

the ring that isn’t the size advertised was refunded today but I don’t think it’s right. I asked them to issue a refund request but instead they’ve said incorrect tracking number so have refunded me based on that. I have the ring and my money back which I don’t think is right. It’s not fair that the seller has lost out like that so I plan on messaging them tomorrow to send their ring back to them.

Morning everyone,

Just looking at the credit card and need to find another £200 this month to get it really low so it’s not a big impact on next months pay. 

I’ll have to get my selling head on! I’m sure I’ll manage it though. Just going to take a bit of focus. Fuel will be lower because of the holidays but the food will be higher having DD here all day. 

She wants to do a couple of clubs so I’m going to book her in to some.

One more day. I’m in need of the break now. Work has completely shifted and everything has totally changed. My timetable, what I’m teaching, where and also when.

I’m hoping to sell up to £400 worth of things to ensure I’ve paid off the credit card. I then have 10 months of hard payments To clear the loan 2 years early. Then I’ll decide where my focus goes next. I have a few choices 😂

Morning all, 

Last day. It all feels so strange as we have had a complete reshuffle and staff are moving round now a lot. Some staff I will no longer work with on a day to day basis as we don't teach in the same centre on the same day anymore. That will be really sad as I have got on with them so well. . 

I feel like I have got my head back in the paying off zone again. I know what I want to achieve and have set targets this month. I have pushed back my living room until the Autumn as I know it can't be done without getting into debt and that is something I am refusing to do. 

I did a bit of an audit last night of a lot of things in the house and know what I have and what I would be willing to part with. So many things I no longer have any attachment too. I am sure I am changing a lot again! I would happily just get rid of a few things without thinking about it. Perhaps my material mind really has gone for good.
