    Morning everyone,

Well pay day came and I seem to be being sensible this week. It might last or it might not, we will see.
I have paid £500 off the credit card that had crept up to over £900. This is a combination of the new tablet for DD that I had cash for, the second furniture set, the bike and some odd bits. I need to have that down to less than £200 by August so I can have more money. I am focussing on this and will have it as low as possible.

The bike arrived yesterday and is beautiful. I love her. I can't ride as my shoulder isn't doing too well at the minute. I took a knock in work and by Thursday just said to work that I need to not be forward facing with the students for the next five days to give myself time to heal this week and then the 6 weeks. The news that I could lose the mobility permanently and have the pain forever sort of made me take a step back and realise it actually isn't worth it. I feel like I have let people down at work as I am now working in the office doing relevant and important things but not out there teaching and in the thick of it as they say. I have had to do it though.

Lots of jobs already done this weekend. All washing is done, the car is taxed for next year and I have put away some of the washing. I need to hoover up now.

My mum/sister is having DD all night on Wednesday so that I can celebrate the end of term with my colleagues. I'll be driving so it isn't me going out to get drunk, but I don't have to rush back and can enjoy the meal. I am so excited as I have not been out in such a long time that I can say I wasn't aware of the the time or getting messages if she was with my ex.

Last night we had a BBQ at my mums. That was lovely. She had the pool out in the garden so DD and my nephew were having an amazing time and we all just relaxed and enjoyed the BBQ. DD got out for food and then they were straight back in.

The ring I didn't think was arriving did arrive. It was supposed to be a size J but is in fact at least a size N so massively too big for me. It is a beautiful ring, but not one that I can wear. It is too big for my thumb! If I send it back then I have to pay postage which seems a little annoying as I am out of pocket for something that isn't my mistake. I might get the accurate size and then sell it myself for at least what I paid for it. Start it off at that price so I know I have not lost out. It might get more views or bidders if it is advertised at the right size.

The spare room isn't so good at the minute as I have just been dumping things in there. I will be organising that today or tomorrow.

We have a football party this afternoon with her team mates and then tomorrow DD should be out with her dad. Not sure of times yet but will see. I wanted to get out on my bike but can't risk my shoulder at the minute.

Some more items are on ebay and slowly getting sold. Hopefully will have another couple of sales this week.

I'm due at £25 voucher as well this week so will be buying some bits for DD for football. I didn't know she needed black football socks so will get them with it and some other bits that she might need. I have enough uniform to start her off in the new term just need some new shoes for her now. She likes boots so will buy her some boots for the autumn winter months.

Have a lovely day everyone. x

Sorry to hear your shoulder is causing you so much trouble and pain at the moment, especially as if you're anything like me you want to try/use anything new that you buy the minute you get it home.  Getting out on the bike will wait though, something for you to look forward to when you feel up to it.  Your Mum sounds to be pulling out all the stops at the minute, good for her  having a nice 'party' in her garden and looking after DD for the night so you can enjoy your evening out with your colleagues.  It must be nice to have colleagues to do things with, I know I really miss some of mine now I'm retiredsob.  Have a great timedrinkers

Awe such a shame about your shoulder, do not worry about your colleagues- your health is more important and I am sure you’d say the same if it was of them.
your doing the right thing not to risk it buy going on the bike.
It’s great that everyone is getting to do something’s that they used to do precovid, kids mixing with friends and going to parties, adults going out to dinner. Starting to feel a bit normal. Although I am just back from Tesco and I noticed hardly anyone was wiping  their basket/trolley or using the hand gel which is a bit worrying 😱.
    Enjoy the sunshine x

    Thanks Fidelia,

The BBQ was decided on Wednesday at DD’s request! The overnight didn’t come straight away but my sister offered then my mum. Think she’s staying at my sisters now as my nephew will be there and they can chill together.

I’m just looking forward to time out from work and relax.

My shoulder is always hurting but I’ve just got on with it and tried to persevere. I can’t carry on though and don’t want permanent damage.

    Thank you Parky,

I’ve noticed that too in the supermarkets. It’s not good to relax so much as people are.

Have you enjoyed the sunshine? X

    Evening everyone.

DD had her football party and the other players got their awards. I’d told her she wouldn’t get one because she’s just started training. I wanted her to go though so she can see what she could get if she works hard training.

We then went to my mums as they wanted to play in the paddling pool. My nephew had his football party later on so we went back for his.

I’ve just put all the washing away. It took over 30 minutes as I’ve been hoarding it in the spare room! I just decided to blitz it and now it looks so much better. I can see the bed 🙈

I spent £4 today as DD wanted a drink and I got them all a drink. I need food this week though so shopping tomorrow. Budget of £20 as I’ve got meat in and just need some fresh things. Lunches for a couple of days.

Tomorrow I will do a holiday plan as DD will need time off days as well as out doing thing days. Try and work out costs and keep them low if possible. A mixture of things is the best way and there’s lots around that don’t cost loads. Most of her activities have summer clubs so she’ll at least have one day a week at some of them to help her build skills and keep her active.

Have a lovely evening everyone x

It has been really hot here. I walked to post office and Tesco it was too warm for me so I stayed indoors the rest of the day and sat out in garden between 7-8.30 with the sun just in the distance 🤣 (weird I know lol)
When the weather is good it makes a difference during the school holidays were you can do free outdoor activities x

It’s been really hot here too. I didn’t sit out much just the odd time when I was doing a few bits. Think it’s going to be the same again today x
