For the first time in a few years I've ended up with a migraine. As before I access this site, and numerous others, via my phone. These orange/red buttons, with the strip along the bottom and other colours are overpowering. Why is there no dark / light option for people?
I don't wear glasses for IT work, but the subject headings and newest thread lettering is tiny.

The new boards will take some getting used to, but look nice and clean. I would like to suggest a couple of improvements;
1. Savings & Investments. Split Savings and Investments into two separate boards. They are not really the same, and putting an Investments board under the "Banking & Borrowing" area makes little sense. This board tends to have far more investment threads on it than it does banking threads.
2. Pensions, annuities & retirement planning. This should be far more closely associated with Investments than it should "Work, benefits & business". Granted, work is where most people start building a pension, but a quick look through the board shows that the majority of posts are about investing, or technical pension queries rather than anything to do with Work, or benefits, or business.I am an Independent Financial Adviser. Any comments I make here are intended for information / discussion only. Nothing I post here should be construed as advice. I'm really struggling to find the boards I usually use - partly because they are not listed inside any of the little boxes and partly because the writing is so tiny I can barely read it. When I do access a board it is again too small to read comfortably - and this is made more annoying by the huge amount of blank space on either side of the screen - the board only takes up 50% of the screen size. Please at least address the problem I and others are having with the size of the text - no matter how good the content it is useless to anyone if we can't read it!
Off to try and track down the boards I use most frequently - wish me luck!8 -
Maybe it would help if you could explain what the changes are meant to improve. Their does not appear to be any improvements, just changes for change sake, and those changes are actually backwards steps that make the forums less accessible.16

Can you post a screenshot or send one to ForumTeam@MoneySavingExpert.com and tell us what device and browser you are using so we can work out what's happening there, thank you
From my bookmarks I usually hold down and then open in background and if it’s a single line heading then again that’s the only time I get the error page https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/bookmark/6224658/QeTfAsakVMgxpBZx Screenshot below:
So all the two line headings work fine… but the single line headings I can’t click on or open in another tab unless I turn my iPad to landscape.
im on an iPad mini 4, version 14.6 using safari…. And I DO Have JavaScript enabled already so the error is fibbing
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?1 -
To combat the small fonts, I went into Settings on my browser, and unticked the "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of your selections above" box.It's a mess about, and the results are not perfect, but it's more readable.

Waste of blank area on the left of the page. I have poor eye sight and that space would be MUCH better used in expanding the post boxes widthways and - MAKING THE FONT BIGGER.
Dislike how the boards are now listed. Why isn't the Savings board mentioned under the Banking title?
Separate Savings and Investments as suggested by HappyHarry above.
Wish they'd stop messing around with this forum. And if they have to, then get some older folks involved in the design who don't have 20/20 vision!12 -
@mse_marcus Please can I ask if there is any update to the code of conduct for mortgage advisers?I'm only asking because some of the new rules (particularly the privacy ones) appear to be inconsistent with the Mortgage Advisor code of conduct? Thanks.

I have used the feedback form to comment on the changes. Suffice to say that if I tried to say what I really think of the changed on the open forum I'd probably be banned!
