Popped into town yesterday, only got a box of tea bags, just the start of a bad day, paid my c.c. early, not early enough, they have taken it again, nearly £500, vet bills, changed my energy supplier in May, finally got my final bill, they want exit fees, I AM OUT OF CONTRACT.
@Smoosh so sorry for your loss, still grieving my dog, 8 weeks yesterday.Do I need it or just want it.5 -
Keep going, it does get easier. I often have a little tear over pets long gone. Its nothing to be ashamed of. We loved them xpamsdish said:Popped into town yesterday, only got a box of tea bags, just the start of a bad day, paid my c.c. early, not early enough, they have taken it again, nearly £500, vet bills, changed my energy supplier in May, finally got my final bill, they want exit fees, I AM OUT OF CONTRACT.

Sorry about your puss puss. It will feel strange for a while, have a cry if you need it. Pets are never just pets, they are family xSmoosh said:We've been very lazy, we haven't eaten a lot of our meal plan and I still haven't done a shop. We had to have our cat PTS on Saturday after a short illness so we are feeling a bit lost. £26.18 on some bits from coop and fish and chips (usually wouldn't pay for this from the grocery budget, but thought why not just this once).

I paid my car insurance on my card, unfortunately filled up with petrol Sat, so have about £330 credit, will just use it for every transaction, just thought must add it to my Amazin account.Do I need it or just want it.4 -
Sorry to hear that @pamsdish. My CC company were really good and returned the payment within a couple of days; otherwise I'd have done what you're planning and just use the credit up to buy everything until it's used up. I always though CC companies didn't like you being in credit - maybe it suits them sometimes!

Hi all, can't remember if I put my target for this month £350 that's for a family of 2 adults and 3 children. (12,10 & 5) Have done a big shop today and stocked up on loads of meat. Planning on doing a batch cooking session tomorrow (we're isolating until a pcr test result comes back). Hopefully we'll have enough to last to the end of the month, just need to make sure I make plenty of variety.Grocery Challenge 2024

Hi all, I've had rather a spendy day today as I paid for a veg box to be delivered next Tuesday, £35 + £4 del, and then spent £12.75 at the pick your own farm this afternoon. I got gooseberries, blackcurrants and strawberries.
I'm planning to try to eat up the last of the fresh veg in the fridge combined with some from the freezer to get me through to Tuesday so that makes my current total £100.62/£124 and my average daily spend £7.74. Ouch, looks like it's a single petits pois for dinner then!5 -
