Very sorry to hear that your leg is so painful, pigpen - keep resting as much as possible and GWS.
Well done on shifting so much of your soil, kazwookie, and I hope your OH enjoyed his apple crumble.
Enjoy your ducks, asb!
I had a reasonable night's sleep but still feel worn out this morning. So much for a rejuvenating holiday!
My main job for today will be FUPA all the clean washing which is currently draped all over the bathroom and hanging in the utility. Once that's done, the utility will be almost clear, as I dropped off the donations for the hospice CS yesterday.
I also need to pop to the greengrocer's for a couple of items that I couldn't find when I did a big shop at MrAl's on my way home.
Hope everyone has a good weekend xx

Morning xx
Jazee - I had an emergency appointment at the Eye Clinic on Thursday. My appointment was at 2.10 - I was seen at 4.00. I'm usually quite good at waiting but I was losing the will to live by 3.15. Doctor (who I've not seen before) did do a thorough examination but then told me he could see all the blood in my eye, but no retinal detachment or new retinal tear, come back in 2 weeks. But why is my eye still bleeding after the cryopexy to stop it???? He didn't have an answer. I felt like I'd gone back to Square One - came home and had a crying meltdown. That really didn't help my eye - but I am so fed up with it now. Bet you wish you hadn't asked! But thank you ❤
Black dog is nipping at my ankles. But I have a plan - I'm going to speak to the consultant's secretary and ask her to speak to him on my behalf. If that doesn't work, at my next appointment , I'll politeli insist that whoever sees me speaks to the consultant. He can't help if he doesn't know! And if there is nothing else to be done at least I'll know.
In the meantime I'd like this black dog to go away as he's really not helping.
Anyhoo- I'm up and made my bed. First brew has been supped. I'm going to have breakfast and another brew, then a shower and get dressed.
Got to get my flylady wagon out of this wallow and back on track. Yeehaw 🤠
Love to all

Round, I have thrown a stick for the black dog so hopefully that will keep him away from you.
I have washed the dishes and took the opportunity to throw away dead flowers and emptied and washed out the kitchen bin. I walked the dogs which was eventful with two important issues to sort including a man with dementia wandering around aimlessly. So once sorted, me and the dogs have retreated to the safety of home and I'm having a cuppa and will then program the phone before it turns from tadpole to frog.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Piggers your leg sounds awful, rest upRounds you need to rest up as well.OH has decided he wants to be more independent of me, so the agreement so far is, he can shower / dry / dress without me in the room, plus he can make tea /toast / cereal and carry it to the table, I will be within ear shot so if he needs me he will call out.Once the above is done, I can go into the garden, and see how dry it is, shift soil / level it etc, I will still come in every 1/2 hour or so to check he is ok. (my biggest fear is he falls over and splits open his main wound) I'm just glad the footie is on as well as the GP F1 this weekend to keep him occupied, his son is on leave this week and is planned to come up on Tuesday for a day or so, so I can have a break, so I'll be straight down walking on the beach if that happens. Please send all BD's my way, they can come and play with sticks in the garden & on the beach etcPlus side both water butts are now full.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

(((hugs))) to round xx and sticks thrown for the BD.
I have FUPA all the clean washing, done QHI, fought with DH's compression stocking,, and come back to bed because I can't stand up straight9 -
Throwing sticks, twigs, balls, anything that will distract the BD and encourage it away from Round xx
Iona, it sounds like you need to rest. Read a Book day maybe? Take care of yourself xx
Back in the WAC yet AGAIN last night. DD dropped at work, WULTD (last night’s bits that DH promised that he would do 😡), HHI, wm x 1. I have a duster in hand, but the plasterer is coming back to finish off on Monday, so I am wondering whether there is actually any point in dusting or vacuuming until Tuesday…
I have to make some cakes for a charity cake sale next week at some point. That might be a job for tomorrow.
GI - yes I did manage to watch the sewing bee final! Thought it was really good. The sewing machine will be out again when I can get back into the spare room!7 -
Thank you all for the better leg wishes
It is helping, it is a lot less swollen after sitting with frozen carrots on it all evening and sleeping with it elevated. I couldn't cope with bed covers on it. It did wake me up a few times being itchy. It is much less painful to walk on this morning so I think the compression of the nerves has decreased with the swelling going down. I am aware it will probably swell as the day goes on. I certainly don't do things by half!
Round I am sad to hear your eye in still bleeding.. it is very naughty. Have they checked your clotting factors? If you are slow to clot it may be a reason it is continuing to bleed, they really need to look into more reasons why it is not resolving.. Don't stop being brave and making them do what your body needs.
OH at work shortly and all day tomorrow.
Letters are still being sent from the high school where Squeak is not going.. I have told them 3 times she is not going.. What do I have to do?!I have 3 ebeast parcels to get out of the house today.I almost have enough in the 'holiday spending money' account. I have budgetted £100 a day.. a lot I know but it will cover everything, food, ice creams and will mean I don't have to say no to the girls (within reason) when they want something. DD1 and her 4 are also coming so I don't see £100 going far! Whatever (if anything) is left over it is going on school shoes/uniforms and Squeaks online maths/english tuition and her music lessons.
I am aiming to get some more listed over the next couple of weeks to make more space in my house.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)8 -
BD doesn't know which stick to chase first - thank you ladies ❤
I washed my hair while I was in the shower- I hadn't planned to but it seemed like a good idea. I've also fed the birds and put out the recycling. Had a chat on the phone with S and watched the birds in the front garden at the same time. Sparrows, wood pigeons and a dunnock pootling about.
Hugs

The phone is programmed including blocking numbers of people I never want to speak to again. I have spent just over an hour in the garden, sorting out the greenhouse which is like a jungle, weeding and planting out the last of the bedding plants.
Having a quick lunch of crisps. I am enjoying my pottering day in my scruffy clothes.Spend less now, work less later.11
