I've set WM swishing so I can post 😇
piggers- could you show your bite to a pharmacist and find relief that way?Just thinking that is what DS did when he had a bite that turned nasty.
Fayolle- could have been my guag but it's still missing- I am totally shattered after my first day back at work. I did call at the Post Office on my way home and pay two weeks' rent, bought a Father's Day card, and withdrew the cash to pay for the Father's Day present that I've ordered and will collect on Saturday though- so I'm feeling that's enough for today.
I'll peg out the washing but that's it. I'm done for today 😴😴

Evening all,
Had a tough morning but then had a stern word with self, so I am going to focus on what I HAVE done today, rather than the negatives:
- Online message sent to doctor to discuss MH
- Got rid of something large on FB marketplace
- Two bags of outgrown clothes taken to the charity shop
- Kids swimming lessons
- Arranged egg delivery for a new customer on Friday
- Spoke to my mum
- Walked the dog twice
Tomorrow I am going to put my phone in a drawer and ignore it for a day.
Piggers - so sorry to hear about your bite, I hope it eases soon. x
Round - please be kind to yourself, we want to see the back of Boris ASAP x
Fayolle - how mature of your DD to make her decision. That shows such strength of character - you must be a very proud mummy x
I am off to slurp pasta and make the childrens' supper. x11 -
We didn’t leave much between the four of us, did we, Honey Bear? Thank you for suggesting that pub - it was excellent
(Sticking to the rules, we both flew before our Flymeet!)11 -

I could but they will only tell me to do what I am already doing (anti-histamines, steroid cream and more anti-histamines.. and maybe an ice pack).. I will end up with antibiotics and steroids, that is how it always goes after an emergency DR's appointment.. I haven't had a bite for 3 years so I knew I was due a bad one.. I think it is a horse fly bite.. but it was 7cm diameter at 2pm and is now 9-10cm... I will give it another day or 2 and see if it starts going down. It is weeping and hot and beyond itchy. It is painful just sitting and standing is worse but banging it on the car as I got out was excrutiating.. I so very nearly cried. I need to pick up a prescription tomorrow or the day after (or today as it is sat there waiting for me) so will ask then if I can't get an appointment.

Fayolle it's good news that her consultant is pleased with progress, and its also good that she is confident about saying what she wants to happen, but it must be hard for you and DH. Hugs x
Kaz well done to OH, and Round take it easy x
HB she clearly isnt listening and you have given her more than enough chances!
Pigpen ouch to the insect bite, healing vibes x
Two long days at the paid stuff. I have hoovered round with the cordless vac, changed our sheets, put my winter dressing gown in WM and tidied kitchen. Managed half an hour outside with my book between meetings. Weights class done first thing and yoga done tonight.
Ready for bed!11 -
Morning xx
Golly, I haven't been that tired since I don't know when. Slept well and I'm up and dressed ready for Day 2. Still a bit tired round the edges though. Yawn!
Made my bed, and I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling before I set off for work.
Have a good day

Morning all, I will be trying to fly today.
Last day of stress here as DD1 has her last day of exams, this one is 'just' a ranking, she has passed everything to be a doctor but this one national and number one gets to choose their speciality and which hospital (or area) first then number 2 etc. But she feels her whole future is hanging on it. DD2 had her final presentation yesterday which went brilliantly, a huge relief as last year she did a similar one which was a battle and the school/uni said she was very limit, this time she got a distinction and is therefore now an engineer. So I am actually feeling a very proud mummy. But having them both on the phone several times a day has been hard work.
Fayolle, I would happily swap a couple of weeks in France with you, we haven't been in the UK since Nov 2019 and are getting desperate to catch up with family. I suggest you get a glass of wine, cook everything with rosemary and garlic, have compulsory long lazy lunches as if you were in France. And of course only speak French in the house! I just need to find out how to get fish n chips and curry sauce here and a really cold pint of lager! I already subjet many of my French friends to toad in the hole, insist on milk in my tea and other English habits.
Better get on whilst it's a bit cooler, has been over 30 the last couple of afternoons. Thunderstorms forecast tomorrow
Bed made, that's all

I hope you're feeling much better today, ASB. (((hugs)))Madamoiselle - fantastic news! I do hope your DDs both get the job of their dreams - they've earned it.*healing vibes* for your leg, Piggers.Well done for following up the query about floaters, Round. (Why are we all so reluctant to seek advice with medical matters because we think we might be making a fuss?) More *healing vibes* heading your way for your eye and may Boris be banished very soon.Thank you so much for the great pleasure of your company yesterday Ionafan and Mr Ionafan. For some reason although we live in (arguably) the most beautiful county in England, we rarely get out and about to enjoy it because Belovéd is a bit of a workaholic. The 'excuse' of a Flymeet in a very special pub was enough to get us speeding creeping around lanes on the eastern side of Dartmoor yesterday (including a detour down the most potholed, narrowest lane I've ever found - and bear in mind I've lived in Devon on and off for nearly 50 years and quite a bit of that in the country because I missed a turning) was THE BEST day out we've had in a long, long time. Lovely. Thank you both so much.Today I'm running late, but have trundled Layla (it's already too hot for her so she stopped early) and wormed both 'kittens' and her thanks, once again, to Lik-e-Lix. They all think they've had the best treat ever. I'm so relieved we no longer have to wrestle them into taking tablets.Today I will be Flying outside. I still haven't repotted the tomatoes I was given as I need to clear the yard of the rhubarb and several other plants, destined to be decluttered to a lightwell in the opposite house where it will grow like a triffid for ever and will only be disturbed for harvesting, celebrate the fact that all the blackcurrent prunings have rooted and move the last ones to the lightwells for a year before they'll fruit, and think about harvesting the shallots and onions and sharing them out with the neighbours fresh rather than try to dry and store them. That is now all very urgent and should have been done a few weeks ago. ooops.Better is good enough.10

Hello, hope you're all ok.Just the dailies, first work shift and front grass cut here. DH has been shopping and it's too hot to walk the dogs. Going to have lunch then read a while before second work shift and a meeting tonight.Spend less now, work less later.11

Antibiotics being prepped at the pharmacy.. my foot is beyond painful.. it spreads from just below my ankle bone to halfway up my calf. Here's hoping we have prevented any further spread.
WM's emptied and partially refilled, I can not bear weight too well on this leg so I have to wait for OH to get back from the gym and carry it outside for me..
I have to keep getting up and walking lol..
I don't see a great deal getting done today.
