Well.. I'm up and the girls are away to school.. Dot is being VERY challenging this morning.. She wants new shoes.. Nope, .. she wants to have different socks ... Nope... and she doesn't want her hair brushing... tough! ... She is hard on shoes but they have 4 weeks left.. she is wearing these ones and can have new ones for September. She has trainers and sandals for summer hols.. I am not making her run feral and barefoot. Twinkle has a fantastic cough.. I am expecting her to be sent home.. or school to try it.. It's a really scratchy sounding dry cough and a part of the hayfever she gets every year.
DS2's 'blue' letter binned.. that didn't last long, it was in the house about 15 seconds...
Speaking of medical stuff... The government are harvesting identifiable data from September 1st so you have until the 23rd June to 'opt-out' at the GP surgery to stop the transfer of your data from being shared with whoever is willing to buy your details.. info HERE ... If you opted out a few years ago that still holds but if you didn't now is your chance to stop yours going through.. it is identifiable via postcode and NHS number and birth date and includes details of mental, sexual and physical health from birth! So if you had an STI 40 years ago or a mental health crisis as a teen.. it's all shared. Your info could be bought by anyone, any company, anywhere in the world for any purpose, not just medical services or contained in the NHS.. it could legitimately be bought by anyone in the world and used fr whatever nefarious scheme they wanted.. this is far more detail than was previously proposed.. but do check it out and make your own decision.
I have a shopping list to write.. OH buying cat litter on the way back from school.
I need to hang out a pile of washing and get a white load in. I would like to change my bedding today too.. OH is sweating like a hog and it feels like it stinks.
Today OH and I are sortin some bedroom stuff before I have a breakdown... in reality I will do it myself because he annoys me asking where to put stupid bits of random rubbish and picking through bits on the floor which will vacuum instead of addressing the piles of junk.

Morning all
Good luck at the hospital today Fay and hope DD copes with it OK x
Pigpen I remember one of mine wearing trainers for the last couple of weeks at school because their school shoes dropped to bits, they did get a couple of comments from teachers but I was ready for an argument! It's ridiculous buying new shoes now.
Up and out running at 7am, despite a terrible nights sleep (dog barking somewhere and NDN being dropped off in the early hours shouting goodbye to his mates - you would never believe we live in a sleepy little village). Yoga stretch done too.
Working 12.30pm to 8.30pm ish today, first of two tough meetings today, another on Wednesday. Will update finance spreadsheets next, might clean the patio doors, did all the upstairs windows yesterday. Cool, dull and windy here - it looks like rain.
Hope Monday is kind to you all x10 -
I've moved my mountain of clothes to bed bed.. and a box to ontop of the now cleared top of the chest of drawers and filled the 3 drawers.. but I have nowhere to move the other stuff to so I can acces the other drawers and put away the rest of the clothes.. and if I put them away how do I get them out again to wear??? ARGH!!
OH been to the gym and shop.. I did an Am@z0n order for the toothpaste, fruit pouches for Twinkle and I got some socks for them to try.. Pixie will love them but Dot usually wear 'boys' socks because they are boring.. so we shall see.. I need to bag up all the small socks and 5-6 tights and drop at nursery in the next couple of weeks.

Evening Flyfolk x
Towels washed
Our bed changed
3 items washed whilst the warm weather is here ready to charity shop
I have accepted an evening wedding invite but had a message to be there before 4pm so I’m confused. I have a new dress and cardigan. I planned to wear satin shoes but now there is 50% chance of rain.

Good evening.
4 hours spent at the allotment. I am starting to see a difference, but I won't get back until Saturday now and I will probably need to start again! 1kg of strawberries picked 😁
DH went shopping & did 2 loads of washing. When I got home I did some shredding & emptied the food bin into lottie the hottie. I have also vac'd the LR & WULTD
Busy day tomorrow. I am taking the boys to my friends. She has lots of land so we will be outdoor learning (bug hunting in long grass I think!) She also has some chicks 😁 The boys will love it! I will need to get up early to make our lunch, walk the dog & hang out DD2s bedding that I have put on timer tonight.
Fayolle I hope you are okay
Hugs to those that need them. Night night all.11 -

Good to hear that you had a lovely weekend asb xx
Thinking about you Fayolle xx
I think the consultant missed a bit as Boris is back and new floaters keep drifting past. I'm hoping for the best (that it's all a perfectly normal part of the healing process) and preparing for the worst (that I have to go back for more). No point worrying about it, que sera sera and all that. I'm going back to work tomorrow, the consultant said I could. I'll take regular screen breaks and see what he says next week. Listen to me being all philosophical.
In the meantime I am up, my bed is made and I'm supping my brew. The ottoman is empty!!! Apart from dust and biodegradable carrier bag bits. What I thought was a valance is actually a pair of bedroom curtains. The plan is to hoover inside the ottoman, then pull it out to hoover under and behind it....not this week though as I'm giving my eye every chance to heal....then sort out the piles of bedding and towels currently sat in DS's room. Keep will go in the ottoman and the rest can go to cs. 😊
Another brew, a slice of toast, then a shower and get dressed sounds like a good start.
Love to all
Rxx
After my surgery, I was told that any floaters and I had to go back. I ended up with a detached retina and a 90 minute surgery. I'm really not trying to scare you. Just better to sort it out earlier if need be.
Were you given any aftercare leaflets? If not moorfields do downloadable ones of what to expect after an eye operation. Best wishes.11 -

Taught my workplace lady at 10am.
Started another report.
Did remote assessment at 1pm.
Spent ages taking photos of cacti which are flowering profusely; today's offering was one with 3 pale pink flowers and one with 5 yellow ones.
Tied up lots of tomato plants and did a bit of weeding.
Had a rather average start to cleaning the kitchen. In fact my flying today has been pretty abysmal considering Mum and Mr N are arriving soon after lunch tomorrow and I've got a swim booked for 9.45am. It's just too hot for me....feeble I know. And ironically the forecast is for torrential rain in the next few days - I was planning a few outings/walks with mum or at least enjoying our garden.
Collected Mr T shopping.
Did a bit more of a report.
Pathetic. Determined to sleep tonight, and nearly determined to get up early whether I sleep or not.
Hope all goes well Fayolle.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.11 -
Fayolle.. sending fluffy hugs to you all.
Round.. little baby Boris's he will have no part in the upbringing of sounds about right.. lol... get it checked out .. or else I will borrow Squeak bike and descend!
DW been on, pack ups done, uniforms sorted and antihistamines snaffled.. I want to cut off my leg.. I am REALLY hoping this isn't going to be another really bad bite. I've avoided them the last 3 years.. It is 3 years and 2 days since I got thelast really bad bite I ended up on steroids and all sorts for.. and this is spreading fast.. its about 3 inches across the circle now.. and red and getting hard... and that didn't sound the least bit rude!
cuppa and nest.. I have reshuffled my clothes off the bed but there is a pile of bedding to put away so I will do that while OH feeds the fuzzies..

Sounds nasty, Piggers.I hope you're feeling a lot better after the weekend ASB, but even so, now is probably the right time to see what support is available while you have the energy.Sorry I've been MIA again, things were a bit busy. Couldn't get back to sleep this morning having woken up at 5.00 am so I've walked the dog, tidied up the clutter and am thinking of doing my tax return before breakfast. I think I'll make Belovéd tea so he's bright-eyed and bushy tailed for a Zoom this morning before going out to lunch. Very excited about that.Better is good enough.9

A busy day ahead here. Lesson this morning, then meeting friends for lunch out and taking dogs to vet in afternoon.
