Morning all
Busy day yesterday so only dailies and laundry done, it was cooler here yesterday evening and I was very glad of that! This morning... wm is swishing, DH emptied the DW, all windows open, antihistamines taken, I’ve done some paid stuff but am now going to head out for a walk before it gets too hot.
take care all, hugs x8 -
I'm doing 5 min of roomdailies every day
I
I'm excited about going out for lunch today too
(((Hugs))) to Fayolle, kaz, pigpen, round and all in need xxxxx9 -
Enjoy your lunches out, ladies 😉
Round - you know what you probably have to do, my love.
Thank you for all your thoughts and well wishes. Yesterday went as well as these things can. The consultant was very pleased with DD’s physical progress and says that she can now learn to walk again. Oncology tried again to convince DD that further treatment was the best bet for her to prevent a recurrence, but she has refused again. DH is struggling to come to terms with that. We go back in a couple of months for scans and check ups.Yesterday’s flying really was limited to washing a load of towels, and sorting out the fridge. Today I Must Do Better. But as the plasterer hopefully descends on us tomorrow, there may be little point. Plus DD is almost clingy in a funny way atm, and wants me where she can hear me / call for me, which makes even gardening difficult. DH has gone to the allotment, as he has a day off work. Very jealous of your strawberry crop, GI - my plants are hidden by weeds!Hugs to all, especially ASB, Kaz, Round x10 -
(((Hugs))) Fayolle.Frustrations, and I'm sorry but I need to blow off steam.I finished the tax return, popped down to the post office but the counter is shut because the staff can't cope with it and the big delivery they've just received.I also realised this morning that my hairdresser friend has cut my hair too short yet again, and this despite the fact that I asked for a trim and shape as opposed to a cut (and drew attention to that a couple of times), took the photographs of what I wanted which she cut last year, propped them up in front of the mirror so she would see them every time she looked in the mirror to see how the cut was going, and mentioned repeatedly that I didn't want it cut too short. She actually mentioned that the right side should be just below the eye - it's a good inch above it. I'm beyond disappointed and simmering with rage which I need to control. She's told me three times she went home to her husband after I'd been there and told him she thought she'd cut it too short so I really thought she'd understood and I'd got the message through. So Belovéd has taken photographs of it so I can show the next hairdresser exactly what I don't want, alongside the ones of the cut/trim/shape I do want. I just don't have the face for this cut and I can't believe she's really this stupid but she obviously is.\rant overFlying - the two double duvets are airing again on the line. I can't wait to get them back up to the attic. This airing business seems to have been going on forever, with pillows and duvet festooning the dining room for weeks.Better is good enough.10

HB.. you have given her ample warning.. and more than enough chances.. it isn't 'just hair' it is all about how we see ourselves and confidence and self-esteem so I totally get it. I hope it grows quickly so you can get the cut you want from someone who will listen. ((hugs))
Fayolle.. It must be very hard on everyone bu tI'm sure DD has her reasons even if everyone else is struggling to see them, it is hard to support someone when you feel their decision isn' what you woud have chosen.. ((hugs for you all)) I hope DH can find some peace. Good luck to DD's speedy receovery and getting back on her feet.
My leg is driving me insane.. if cutting it off was an option I've have done it!
I have a fly in the house... so I have several not-so-small cat chasing it all over the place.. it's really funny but my house is being destroyed.

Hiya xx
Just dashing in during my lunch break - thank you to all who suggested I ring the Eye Clinic. piggers - you can put Squeak's bike away 😊 the deed is done.
I spoke to the on call eye doctor and he is asking for an earlier follow up appointment. He told me what to watch for that require immediate attendance at A&E- which I already knew but good to know my current symptoms are not considered dangerous. I took his name so I know who I spoke to.
Work is crazy but I'm taking regular screen breaks. My eye is holding up- ooo eye drop time. Thank you for reminding me 🤣
Flying? I made my bed, fed the birds and put out the rubbish before I came to work.
Love to all

I've done nothing.. weight bearing and walking are too painful.. I must feed the WM's though.. cats fed, I'm fed.. and I might need a cuppa...

Thank you to whoever flung their guag in my direction. Can you please take it back now, as I think that I have had enough of it - it’s too hot to handle it!
Wm x 1 done and dried outside, HHI done, WUDuPA x 2, s&s bathrooms, 8 jars of rhubarb chutney made and jarred, large pan of rhubarb compote made. Then DH came home bearing another couple of kilos. I was sorely tempted to tell him where to stick it 🤣.
Sweet peas have finally been planted, gh sorted, tomato and cucumber plants in their rightful places.
My “summer holiday” book arrived - I treat myself to a shiny new book to take to France each summer. Sadly this one will be read here this year, yet again.
Now to shower and hair wash. Guag being flung northerly from me, as I assume that is where it belongs…10 -
